Chelsea Gray Pens Romantic Post to Wife Tipesa, Garnering Wholesome Reactions From Jewell Loyd, Brittney Griner’s Partner, Others

More often than not, the most meaningful moments in an athlete’s life happen off the court.

WNBA star Chelsea Gray dealt with her share of challenges during the 2024 season, averaging 8.6 points and 4.9 assists in just 27 games while battling a foot injury. But now, she’s making headlines for a different reason — a heartfelt social media post honoring her wife that has captured the WNBA community’s attention.

Chelsea Gray’s Romantic Post for Her Wife Goes Viral

On Instagram, Gray posted a touching tribute to her wife, Tipesa Moorer, winning over fans across the league.

“Before the titles, before the milestones — it was always you. My steady, my soft place, my Day 1. #LoveLiftsUsUp,” read the caption.

The post, filled with love and gratitude, quickly took off. One of the first replies came from Moorer herself, who wrote simply, “I love you.” The sweet exchange didn’t go unnoticed.

But it wasn’t just a private moment. Fellow WNBA players showed their support in the comments. Cherelle Griner, wife of Atlanta Dream center Brittney Griner, chimed in, as did current stars like Jewell Loyd, Cheyenne Parker-Tyus, and Brittney Sykes.

Their comments, filled with affectionate emojis, created a wholesome and uplifting vibe that fans loved.

The post brought back memories of Gray and Moorer’s journey together. The couple first met in 2013. They got engaged on June 27, 2018, and were married on Nov. 2, 2019, in a ceremony attended by several WNBA stars, including Candace Parker, Ify Ibekwe, and Jantel Lavender.

They’ve since built a life together on and off the court. Their biggest milestone came in February 2024 with the birth of their son, Lennox Ali’i Gray.

Now, with the 2025 season underway, Gray is back in action — but her biggest win might just be the love and support she shares at home.

Gray’s Dominance on the Court So Far

After a season impacted by injury, Gray is starting to find her rhythm again. She played a key role in the Aces’ undefeated preseason, averaging 11.5 points across two games.

The regular season didn’t start as planned, with the Aces dropping their opener 92-78 to the New York Liberty. But they bounced back quickly in their second game, rolling past the Connecticut Sun 87-62. Gray scored 12 points and showed her leadership throughout the win.

Next up, the Aces face the Washington Mystics on May 23 at Michelob ULTRA Arena, looking to keep the momentum going. Las Vegas is looking to add WNBA Championship No. 3 to the trophy case at season’s end.
