While Caitlin Clark is undoubtedly an Indiana die-hard, especially due to her ties with the Fever, she doesn’t hide the fact that she idolizes LeBron James. Clark had a viral moment with James and recently revisited the interaction.
How Caitlin Clark Captured a Viral Photo of LeBron James
Clark had the opportunity to hit two birds with one stone last Wednesday. She supported her fellow Indiana team while getting to watch her idol, James, in the process.
While watching the game, Clark dabbled in a bit of photography as she took her camera with her. While taking photos of the game, she had the opportunity to briefly interact with the King.
During the pre-game show of the Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks game, Clark shared how she took a photo of James last Wednesday. When she saw James walking in front of her, she quickly took a picture of him.
Clark then revealed that the two of them made eye contact after the photo; however, it seems that the King didn’t reciprocate her emotions toward the situation. The Fever star was happy to snap a photo of her GOAT, while James seemed too locked in to acknowledge the moment.
“The King,” Clark named her photo of James. “That’s my GOAT. … I swear we made eye contact so I sat down the camera and I smiled at him and he just looked at me with a straight face.”

While Clark came into the game as an Indiana Pacers fan, it’s likely that she was also thrilled to see her GOAT beat them. The Los Angeles Lakers came up with a 137-130 win over the Pacers with Clark in attendance, and in addition to the thrill of seeing LeBron up close, the WNBA star was also treated to yet another spectacular performance from Luka Dončić.
Dončić had a jaw-dropping 43-point effort during the high-scoring victory, adding 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 1 steal. Supporting the Slovenian star, as usual, was James, who nearly put up a triple-double. James added 23 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, and 1 steal to help the Lakers seal a tougher-than-expected road victory that further solidified their playoff positioning.
