‘The Most Unlikable Player in Basketball’ — Analyst Blasts Caitlin Clark and Argues She’s ‘Never Gonna Win’ in Scathing Rant

Fever star Caitlin Clark continues to play hard, but her on-court antics draw criticism from one analyst insisting "all she does is whine to the refs."

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark remains one of the most scrutinized players in the league. Whether it’s her incredible play or rumors of a rift between her and the Indiana franchise, the two-time All-Star continues to hear it from all sides.

The latest criticism came from Tyrone Johnson, who took issue with the Indiana star’s frustration with the officiating.

Despite the narratives and speculation surrounding Clark, she continues to perform on the court. The Fever star showed her immense value again Thursday night during a 114-106 overtime victory against the Chicago Sky, filling the box score with 32 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds in 40 grueling minutes.

However, she also received her third technical foul of the season, prompting Johnson to share his thoughts on the game, insisting that all she does is whine to the officials and complain.

“Last night, Caitlin Clark got a technical foul,” Johnson said. “It’s her third technical foul already this season because she didn’t get a foul called. I recognize that Caitlin Clark is a lot of people’s hero.”

“Caitlin Clark’s also a villain. She is the most unlikable player, not in the WNBA but in basketball.”

“Say what you want about Wemby (San Antonio Spurs; Victor Wembanyama),” Johnson continued. “Wemby is infinitely more likable than Caitlin Clark. So is everyone else. LeBron James, infinitely more likable. All she does is whine to the refs and complain, and she should already be thrown out of games.”

Johnson went on to say that Clark is not talentless at all, but that Clark has not given him “one damn good reason” to root for the Fever star one bit.

“Caitlin Clark is not going to win unless she changes,” Johnson bluntly remarked.

Averaging 19.9 points, 8.1 assists, and 4.7 rebounds in 11 games so far, Clark is picking up form at the right moment as Indiana, currently 7-5 and looking to build momentum off the win against the Sky, heads into action on Saturday against the Connecticut Sun.

For the Fever franchise, the off-court media noise pales in comparison to their championship ambitions. For Clark, the focus will remain on playing her best basketball when the opposing crowd wants her to fail.
