Caitlin Clark Demands for Indiana HC Curt Cignetti to Get His Own Movie After Improbable National Title

In a recent tweet, Caitlin Clark shared an interesting idea for HC Curt Cignetti after the Hoosiers' iconic National Title win.

The Indiana Hoosiers have won their maiden College Football National Championship, making history as they beat the Miami Hurricanes in a thrilling 27-21 encounter.

And while fans come together to celebrate such an unforgettable win, Caitlin Clark — another Indiana icon — was there to hype the team’s victory.

Fever Star Caitlin Clark Reacts After Indiana Hoosiers, HC Curt Cignetti Win National Championship

After decades of waiting, Indiana fans have their national championship win to savor. And while multiple factors — including Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza — were in play, many crowned head coach Curt Cignetti the star of the show.

Probably the worst program in the country, Cignetti took over and coached his way to a national title in two years. And as far as people are concerned, this might just be the greatest coaching they have seen in sporting history.

The championship also comes after a perfect 16-0 season, further cementing this team and Cignetti’s greatness.

Of course, Clark — choosing to support the Hoosiers — couldn’t help but hype Cignetti.

“What a story @IndianaFootball give coach cig his movie now!! Congrats!!!!!!!” Clark wrote on Twitter (now X).

Clark didn’t just celebrate the win, but also asked Hollywood to start producing a movie for Cignetti. Ideally, sports movies about historic runs and championship wins are immensely popular, meant to be inspiring to the general public.

Fans were delighted with Clark’s suggestion, urging directors and producers to look into such an inspiring story. Furthermore, many Clark fans connected the college football championship win to the WNBA, hoping that the Fever could also bring home their first title since 2012.

Clark Was Urged to Support the Hoosiers in 2026

Despite her playing for the Fever, Clark’s support for the Indiana team wasn’t obvious. This stems back to her time in Iowa, making Indiana their rivals while Clark was in college.

Earlier this week, Hoosiers wide receiver Elijah Sarratt revealed that he named his dog ‘CC’ after Clark. “They may not like it (Clark fans), she’s named after Caitlin Clark, that’s why I named her. Indiana fans may not like that,” Sarratt revealed on Sunday.

Clark replied to the same on a TikTok comment, saying: “Hope he scores 3 TDs Monday night. Big Indiana fan Monday night.”

Days later, Clark tweeted before the Indiana-Miami championship game.

“Best of luck to @IndianaFootball,” Clark posted on X, showing her support for the Hoosiers ahead of tonight’s CFP National Championship. “We are all pulling for you !! Get it done,” she added.

Having said that, one can only hope that the Hoosiers bring good luck to the Indiana Fever, giving Clark her very first WNBA win.
