Caitlin Clark Reveals $121,000,000 NBA Superstar Who Left Her Starstruck While Shooting Witty State Farm Ad

A basketball star left Caitlin Clark "Starstruck" while filming a commercial for the State Farm Insurance company.

When you hear the name Caitlin Clark, one thing immediately comes to mind — a game-changer who has redefined women’s basketball. Dubbed the “Caitlin Clark Effect,” she sent WNBA ticket sales and TV viewership soaring in her rookie season.

Now in her sophomore year with the Indiana Fever, Clark continues to blaze forward with the same firepower, such as helping the Fever trounce the Chicago Sky 93–58 in the regular season opener that pulled in 2.7 million viewers on ABC.

It’s easy to say fans get starstruck when they see her, but this time, it seems the superstar found herself on the other side of that feeling.

Caitlin Clark Opens up About Her Experience During a Commercial Shoot

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated (which was part of State Farm’s “With the Assist” platform, a campaign that highlights real-life assists, where kindness, teamwork, and helping others take center stage), Clark shared that she was left starstruck while filming her first commercial for the insurance company.

The moment that made Clark’s jaw drop? Working alongside two NBA legends: Golden State Warriors’ Jimmy Butler III and Indiana Pacers icon Reggie Miller. Being in the presence of not one, but two basketball greats was something Clark described as surreal.

“I feel like making a State Farm commercial is kind of – you just get starstruck doing that… But I remember my first State Farm commercial, which was with Jimmy Butler and Reggie Miller, and Jimmy’s been one of my favorite players ever since I was young, so that kind of had me starstruck a little bit. It was really fun,” said Clark.

The commercial itself is a witty and wholesome spot. The trio of Clark, Butler, and Miller are seen jumping in to help a couple who backed their car into a pole in a parking lot — a lighthearted nod to State Farm’s reputation for being there when things go wrong.

But this isn’t Clark’s first foray into commercials. She has been featured in several State Farm spots, quickly becoming a favorite for the brand. Beyond State Farm, she’s become a go-to face for major companies including Nike, Gatorade, and Buick.

When it comes to her in-game magic, Clark is turning heads once again in the 2025 regular season. She’s currently averaging 23.5 points and 10.5 assists per game. She notched a triple-double in her first regular-season game this year, recording 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Sky.

Since then, she’s continued to dominate, recently surpassing Sabrina Ionescu’s record for the most 25-point, 10-assist games. Her latest stat sheet stunner? A 27-point, five-rebound, 11-assist performance against the Atlanta Dream on May 20.

Whether it’s dazzling fans on the court or lighting up the screen with basketball legends, Clark continues to prove she belongs in the spotlight.

However, while Clark has revealed that she felt starstruck while performing alongside the Pacers legend, she recently had a message for the team.

Clark’s Message for the Indiana Pacers

Clark, who is one of the biggest fans of the Pacers, has been showing her support throughout the NBA playoffs. During the first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, she was present at every home game, cheering loudly from the sidelines.

Following the Pacers’ thrilling 138-135 overtime victory over the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Clark took to X to send an encouraging message to the team.

“PACERS ARE THE GREATEST COMEBACK TEAM I’VE EVER SEEN,” wrote Clark on X.

Now, as the Pacers prepare for Game 2, Clark is turning her focus back to the WNBA. She and the Indiana Fever face a tough road matchup against the Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena, tipping off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
