Breanna Stewart has signed a new deal with the New York Liberty for the 2025 season, choosing a team-friendly option instead of the highest possible salary. Alongside her WNBA career, she continues to expand her earnings through major brand endorsements, signature shoes, and real estate interests, which all contribute to her growing financial success.
Breanna Stewart’s Salary With the New York Liberty in 2025
Stewart re-signed with the Liberty on a one-year, fully guaranteed contract worth $208,400. That’s well below the WNBA supermax salary of $241,984, which she was eligible to receive. Instead of maximizing her earnings, Stewart took the smaller deal to help give the Liberty more roster flexibility.
In a statement shared by US News, Stewart said, “I’m excited for what we’re doing here in New York and with the Liberty. … I’m looking forward to it for many years to come.”
Stewart’s Brand Endorsement Deals and Net Worth
Aside from the WNBA, she has made several brand deals that make her a lot of money and keep her net worth at a staggering $5 million.
She signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Puma in May 2021 and became the first WNBA player in a decade to receive a signature shoe. She not only became a brand ambassador for the brand but also launched a series of gender neutral shoes, such as Stewie 1 “Quiet Fire,” released in 2022; Stewie 2 “Cherry on Top,” which continued the performance-first approach, and the Stewie 3 “Harry Potter” edition, which was released in 2024.
In 2016, she collaborated with Nike, signing a multi-year deal after the Seattle Storm selected her as the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft. During this period, she was featured in many of their campaigns, such as “You Can’t Stop Us” in 2020 and “Play New: Dynasty” in 2021.
She became the first-ever brand ambassador of Peloton in 2024. This collaboration was announced by the “Moved By ______” video series, and she was also featured in its first episode, “Moved By Greatness.” However, she first associated with the brand in 2020, to look for a fresh approach to her workout during COVID-19.
In 2023, she became the brand ambassador for Cliff Bar and co-developed Clif’s new Caffeinated Collection of energy bars, such as Vanilla Almond Latte, Caramel Macchiato, and Dark Chocolate Mocha. Each bar contains approximately 65 mg of caffeine, equivalent to a shot of espresso, and is made with organic coffee beans sourced from Colombia.
Her wealth comes from the above-mentioned factors, but some factors, such as her real estate investments, also make up a huge part of it.
