Caitlin Clark continues to be in the spotlight with the 2026 WNBA season underway. The Indiana Fever superstar had the basketball world buzzing after she was listed second in the top-selling player jerseys after Golden State Warriors cornerstone Stephen Curry.
Clark is followed by the Los Angeles Lakers stars, LeBron James and Luka Dončić. San Antonio Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama rounded up the top five. This had the major names in the WNBA and NBA talking about Clark’s impact on the sport and on business.

A fan account, LetCaitlinCook, reminded Boardroom of their previous post calling Clark the third marketable WNBA player this season, behind A’ja Wilson and Paige Bueckers.

Earlier this month, Boardoom drew mixed reactions for its aforementioned post, in which Clark ranked third among the most marketable WNBA stars. Rounding up the list were Angel Reese and Sabrina Ionescu.
The order of the names listed sparked a massive debate, given the former Iowa Hawkeyes star’s influence on attendance at the venue, TV ratings, and the WNBA’s popularity. Some questioned the metrics Boardroom used to determine the order and were stunned when second-year Dallas Wings guard Bueckers was placed above Clark.
The latest comes after Clark’s fans and WNBA analysts had previously commented on the 2026 GM Survey, where Clark was snubbed in two major categories. She was not picked as the ‘Best point guard in the WNBA’ and ‘The player around whom they would start a franchise.’
This season, all eyes are on the star playmaker who has looked like her usual self after an injury-riddled 2025 season. The Fever made the playoffs, but were without Clark’s services.
On the season front, it was a forgettable start for the Fever after they went down 107-104 to Buecker’s Wings side.
Clark was off to a solid start with 20 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. The Fever made up for it with a bounce-back 87-78 win against the Los Angeles Sparks. The mercurial guard finished with 24 points, four rebounds, and nine assists.
