Once again, the Dallas Wings have been defeated, this time by Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky. The Sky enjoyed an 87-76 victory on Wednesday at Wintrust Arena.
Reese, in particular, shone brightly. She added 15 points and 11 rebounds and shattered yet another record in WNBA history.
Yet Another Record Shattered by Angel Reese
After adding yet another double-double, Reese is now the proud holder of the longest active double-double streak in the league. Per ESPN’s official post on X, she now has seven consecutive double-double games.
Apart from her 15-point, 11-rebound performance, Reese also dished out one assist and one block for the big win. She went 6-of-10 from the field and shot 3-of-5 from the free throw line.

Throughout the 19 games she’s played in this season, Reese finished with 13 double-doubles overall.
While she continues to shatter WNBA records, she’s had a rather thrilling week.
Angel Reese Has Many Reasons To Celebrate This Week
The 23-year-old received her second All-Star nod earlier this week. She is now part of Team Collier, after Napheesa Collier picked her as the 13th overall pick and the third reserve on the live draft night on Tuesday.
They are poised to go head-to-head against Team Clark on July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
But this isn’t the only reason for Reese to celebrate. She also became the sixth WNBA player to appear on the cover of NBA2K, the NBA2K26 WNBA edition. The viral video game network made the announcement on Wednesday, as they released a picture of the cover with Reese in action.
An ecstatic Reese went simple with her gratitude, writing, “COVERGIRL. THANK YOU,” on X.
Only A’Ja Wilson, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, and Candace Parker have achieved the feat of making it to the cover. In fact, Parker was the first WNBA player to appear on such a cover in the special edition of NBA 2K22.
In just her second year, Reese is making the most of her popularity and play style. She even announced the release of her signature shoes, appearing on the same NBA 2K26 cover.
Her historic feat, clubbed with her signature shoe launch, only shows the impact she’s had in the league since entering it. Despite not winning the Rookie of the Year honors, she’s found her own way to speak loudly with her rebounds, double-doubles, and other achievements.
