WNBA Analyst Urges Caitlin Clark to Sign With Klutch Sports to Be Represented by LeBron James’ Agent Rich Paul

WNBA analyst Rachel DeMita argues Caitlin Clark should join Klutch Sports, pointing that Rich Paul could boost her leverage amid stalled CBA talks.

WNBA analyst Rachel DeMita is publicly questioning why Caitlin Clark is not represented by Klutch Sports Group. She argues that a move to the powerhouse agency could significantly shift the league’s balance of power.

DeMita raised the issue while discussing the ongoing uncertainty around the league’s collective bargaining agreement, suggesting that Clark’s representation could be playing a larger role than many realize.

WNBA Insider Urges Caitlin Clark to Move to Klutch Sports Amid CBA Standoff

“Why is Caitlin Clark not signed to Clutch? I feel like if Clark was signed to Clutch Sports, which by the way is LeBron James’ agency, this CBA would have been done by now,” DeMita said.

DeMita emphasized Klutch Sports’ influence across professional basketball and speculated that Rich Paul and LeBron James could be more directly involved if Clark were a client.

“They have a lot of power in the NBA space. If you see your client who is this massive superstar, like a deal has to get done,” she said.

DeMita added, “Everybody loses if there is not a WNBA season next year…But I wish that she was kind of with a dog agent like Clutch, somebody who just goes to war for their clients. And I feel like that would have been a perfect pairing.”

She also questioned Clark’s long-term endorsement strategy, pointing specifically to her Nike contract.

“I don’t think there’s any way Clutch would have just signed off on a $24 million, eight-year deal with Nike for a player like Caitlin Clark,” DeMita added. “I just feel like that would have been a perfect pairing.”

Klutch Sports was founded by Paul in 2012 after he left Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he worked under Leon Rose.

Paul launched the agency in Cleveland, Ohio, initially representing James, Eric Bledsoe, Tristan Thompson, and Cory Joseph. James, whom Paul first met in 2002, became Klutch’s first marquee client after Paul went out on his own.

Since then, Klutch has grown into one of the most powerful sports agencies, representing hundreds of athletes across the NBA, NFL, MLB, and WNBA.

Forbes has previously reported that the agency represents roughly 680 clients. Active WNBA players represented by Klutch include A’ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, Allisha Gray, Jewell Loyd, Jordin Canada, and Naz Hillmon.

Clark Ready For Her Third WNBA Season

Clark is currently represented by Eric K. Goldschmidt of Excel Sports Management, who has been her agent since she entered the 2024 WNBA Draft. Goldschmidt negotiated Clark’s rookie contract with the Indiana Fever and major endorsement deals, including her Nike agreement.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark made an immediate impact as a rookie, leading the Fever to the playoffs for the first time in eight years and earning Rookie of the Year honors while setting the league’s single-season assists record.

Her sophomore season was cut short by multiple injuries, but Clark is fully recovered and participated in USA Basketball training in December. She is preparing for the 2026 WNBA season, with expectations that she will again be one of the league’s central figures.

If Clark were to join Klutch Sports, it would signal a major shift in WNBA representation, potentially amplifying her leverage in contract negotiations and league-wide matters during a critical moment for the league.
