Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis was injured on the Titans’ second drive of the game, suffering an apparent right shoulder injury.

ESPN reporter Laura Rutledge said during an in-game report that backup quarterback Mason Rudolph “was not sure” whether he would go into the game. Levis initially remained on the sideline, attempting to test his shoulder.

At the time of his injury, Levis was 3-of-4 for 25 yards and an interception, his eighth straight game with a turnover.

    What Happened to Will Levis?

HALFTIME UPDATE: At the end of the first half, Titans coach Brian Callahan told Rutledge that Levis would re-enter the game if he’s physically able to play:

However, Rudolph remained under center for the start of the second half.

The Titans’ second-year passer exited the game after his injury, with Rudolph beginning the Titans’ third series of the game. After initially attempting to shake off the injury, Levis went into the blue tent to have it examined further.

Levis’ final play before his injury was a third-down scramble in which he dove toward the first-down marker, landing hard on his throwing shoulder. Following the play, cameras picked up Levis appearing to say, “I think I hurt my shoulder.”

After exiting the blue medical tent, Levis was declared questionable to return.

    Fantasy Impact of Levis’ Injury

The Titans were not a high-volume offense despite boasting veterans such as DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and Tony Pollard. Entering Monday, the Titans were the 27th ranked scoring offense (16.0 points per game).

If anything, Levis’ injury could potentially stabilize an error-prone Tennessee offense and raise the floor of the Titans’ other fantasy options. Rudolph has 13 career starts and went 3-0 as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ starter down the stretch last season. During that stint, Rudolph threw three TDs and averaged 238.7 passing yards per game, proving he could support George Pickens as a viable fantasy option.

Rudolph, of course, will not be a startable option himself until further notice. But much like how Joe Flacco brought consistency to the Indianapolis Colts’ offense in place of Anthony Richardson on Sunday, Rudolph could conceivably make Hopkins and Ridley more viable options in the short term if Levis is forced to miss any time.
