Tom Brady to Announce Super Bowl 59

After being a fixture in the Super Bowl during his playing career, the New England Patriots legend will take a different role this time. Brady joins lead FOX’s play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt as the color analyst for Super Bowl 59.

Brady announced his retirement from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, and various media houses approached him with lucrative offers. Fox Sports won the race to get the greatest quarterback on board. However, Brady quickly decided to return to the field, pausing the negotiations.

Brady revived conversations about his deal with Fox Sports after officially retiring on Feb. 1, 2023. The 47-year-old signed a 10-year contract worth $375 million with FOX and became the lead analyst, making his return to the NFL after a short hiatus. This insane deal extends his legacy to the commentary booth and beyond.

The Patriots picked Brady in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Little did they know that the 199th overall would carry the franchise on his shoulder for the next couple of decades. The 15-time Pro Bowler etched himself and the franchise in the NFL history books in golden letters.

Drew Bledsoe’s injury in Brady’s second season came as a boon for the Patriots as Brady suited up as their quarterback. The change immediately bore fruit as the 24-year-old Brady brought the Vince Lombardi Trophy to New England for the first time in franchise history.

The five-time Super Bowl MVP went on to lead the Patriots to eight more Super Bowl appearances, five more Super Bowl titles, 17 division titles (including 11 consecutive from 2009 to 2019), and 13 AFC Championship Games (including eight consecutive from 2011 to 2018). He joined the Buccaneers in early 2020 and won Super Bowl LV, extending his individual record to 10 Super Bowl appearances and seven victories.

Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will be the sideline reporters for the final game of the 2024 NFL season. Andrews has been with FOX since 2012, after eight years at ESPN. At FOX, she has been part of the broadcast team for four Super Bowls, multiple World Series, and MLB All-Star games.

Rinaldi joined FOX in 2021 after almost two decades at ESPN. He has won 16 Sports Emmy Awards and seven Edward R. Murrow Awards, covering most of the biggest sports events. Rinaldi has covered the Super Bowl, the World Cup, the Olympics, the Daytona 500, the Masters, Wimbledon, and the College Football National Championship.

Brady probably knows the pressure and nerves of a Super Bowl game more than anybody else. His intriguing analysis and inside stories will certainly make Super Bowl 59 more enjoyable for the fans.
