Annie Bosko’s Path to a Major NFL Stage
Annie Bosko will sing the National Anthem at the 49ers vs Panthers matchup, a contest featuring two teams trying to gain ground in their NFC races.
The 49ers enter the night at 7–4 and the Panthers at 6–5, making the game more meaningful than expected. Both teams have battled internal challenges, and the primetime setting adds another layer of anticipation.
Bosko’s journey to this moment began long before she set foot on any significant stage. She grew up in Thousand Oaks, California, and her connection to music started early. As a teenager, she was already working in the industry.
She even contributed vocals to the soundtrack for The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea at age fourteen, well before her eventual move to Nashville.
Once in Nashville, she worked behind the scenes, cutting jingles, writing songs, and crafting demos. Her songwriting would eventually be recorded by artists like Willie Nelson and Jessica Simpson, a sign of the growing trust Nashville placed in her work. She also opened for major touring acts, including Tim McGraw, gaining valuable experience performing live.
Bosko’s breakout moment arrived in 2014 with the release of her single “Crooked Halo.” The track became a favorite on SiriusXM and CMT, widening her national exposure. She later made her Grand Ole Opry debut on September 30, 2023, a milestone that marked a significant step in her evolution as an artist.
Her music career continued to grow through releases like “Neon Baby,” which charted on Billboard Country Airplay in 2024. Her duet “Better Than You” with Joe Nichols became one of the most added songs at U.S. country radio and eventually reached the Top 50 on the Country Airplay chart in 2025.

Although Bosko has never performed at a sporting event before, the 49ers game will mark her first. Beyond her anthem performance, the event will feature multiple forms of entertainment, including DJ Romeo in the pregame and a halftime show titled “A Night of Queen” with Marc Martel.
