Who Is Shaun Alexander’s Wife, Valerie?

Shaun Alexander has been married to Valerie Boyd since April 2002. There’s not much information available about her personal life with her husband.

The two met right after Alexander was picked in the NFL Draft by the Seahawks in 2000, and they immediately struck up a friendship.

They were involved in a relationship for two years before getting married. Now, the Alexanders are a full, rich family filled with faith and love.

The Alexanders are quite active in faith-based initiatives, including Harvest Covenant. That faith-based organization, which Alexander founded, focuses on homeschooled children.

Alexander also is a head coach for a football team that is anchored in Harvest Covenant, according to the New York Post. Shaun and Valerie have 13 children together: Heaven, Trinity, Eden, Joseph, Justus, Temple, Honor, Jedidiah, Eternity, Hosanna, Hope and Judea. Sadly, they lost a daughter, Torah, in 2017 at two months of age.

On Thursday, Alexander announced on the “Up & Adams” show with Kay Adams that he and Valerie were expecting child No. 14.

How good was Alexander in his day in the NFL? In nine professional seasons, Alexander had 9,453 rushing yards and 100 rushing touchdowns. Alexander had an amazing 2005 season, amassing 1,880 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns on the ground. That memorable campaign led Alexander to get NFL Most Valuable Player, Offensive Player of the Year, All-Pro and Bert Bell Award accolades.

Alexander ranks at No. 18 all-time with 112 career touchdowns and put together five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. Alexander has not been silent about his dreams to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, some day.

His on-field play adds up to a pretty stellar resume’. But Alexander keeps his focus on faith and family these days, celebrating the big and small gifts of life. Valerie is by his side in all of these efforts, too. They’ll soon have another reason to rejoice, as another bundle of joy will soon come into their lives.
