When Jalen Hurts married his longtime girlfriend, Bry Burrows, in April 2025, they kept it quiet. No social media blitz, no tabloid coverage, just a private celebration between two people who’ve mastered the art of staying out of the spotlight.
But their low-key approach only makes their story more intriguing. Everyone knows Hurts as the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl MVP, but the woman who became his wife has built an impressive career of her own while supporting him from behind the scenes.
Who Is Bry Burrows?
Hurts appeared on “Good Morning America” with Robin Roberts in September to discuss the aftermath of the Super Bowl and aspects of his personal life.
When asked about Bry, he said, “Well, you know where your strength comes from. You know where your rock is. Those are things that always give you encouragement anytime you step into something.”
How Did Their Relationship Begin?
Hurts and Burrows met at the University of Alabama between 2016 and 2017, though their relationship took time to develop. They dated on and off over the next few years before becoming more serious. The couple was officially linked when Burrows joined Hurts on the field after the Eagles won the NFC Championship Game in January 2023.
Despite their high-profile status, the couple has kept their relationship out of the spotlight. They share only the occasional shout-out on social media, preferring privacy over public attention.
What Does Bry Burrows Do for Work?
Burrows graduated from the University of Alabama in 2017 with dual bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and political science. She then earned her MBA at Alabama’s Manderson School of Business, setting the foundation for her tech career.
After graduation, an article in “People” said she worked at IBM as a senior client experience consultant in Dallas, Texas. She progressed through the company, becoming a sales executive and software financing leader. Today, she works as an artificial intelligence partner.
Beyond her corporate role, Burrows is involved in mentoring young people interested in tech careers. In 2022, she worked with young minority undergraduate students during IBM’s eight-week Accelerate program, which was designed to fast-track them into the business world.
While the couple has never been one for the tabloids or actively pursued attention, they occasionally appear at events like the Time 100 Next Gala in 2023. Shortly after their engagement was announced, they appeared on the red carpet for the New York premiere of “The Evolution of the Black Quarterback,” a documentary series that Hurts was a central part of.
Most recently, on May 5, 2025, Burrows and Hurts were on the red carpet at the Met Gala, shortly after they exchanged wedding vows.
In a cover story for “Men’s Health” that had dropped just days prior, Hurts said of Burrows, “You can call her my wife.”
