Herbstreit, who is in his second season with Amazon Prime, has been one of the faces of college football on ESPN since the 1990s.
He has been an analyst on College GameDay since 1996 and, in 2006, was added as a lead game analyst for ESPN and ABC. Herbstreit played quarterback at Ohio State from 1989 to 1992 and was the team’s starter and the MVP as a senior.
Hartung has worked with ESPN, the Longhorn Network, the SEC Network, CNN, and ABC during her career. She is currently a contributing correspondent for NBC’s TODAY Show.
Charissa Thompson hosts the pregame show, which features former NFL players Richard Sherman, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, and Tony Gonzalez.
Kirk Herbstreit’s Week
Herbstreit is usually off-air on Friday as he switches from the NFL to college. This week, he will have a busy two days that will involve calling an NFL and college game with three hours of ESPN’s College GameDay mixed in.
Herbstreit will call the Dolphins-Jets game in New Jersey on Friday afternoon and then head to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for College GameDay. The show will preview the top-three matchup between Michigan and Ohio State.

Al Michaels’ Broadcasting Career Has Been a Historic One
When it comes to iconic moments in sports, it wasn’t just football that Michaels was there for.
The announcer has narrated some of the most significant sporting events in history, such as the “Miracle on Ice,” in which an underdog team of college ice hockey players from the United States defeated the Soviet Union at the 1980 Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York.
Throughout his career, Michaels was the voice of many MLB World Series games, as well as Super Bowls and countless Sunday night and Monday Night Football games over the years.

Michaels was also on the call for the “Butt Fumble” that happened when the Jets were hosting the New England Patriots on Thanksgiving in 2012. Jets QB Mark Sanchez missed the handoff and then tried to scramble for yards but fumbled when he ran right into his teammate Brandon Moore’s backside.
