Concerns over the Kansas City Chiefs’ slow start to the season seem to have died down considerably, as they’re now winners of three of their last four games. Their win over the Raiders last week was their most decisive yet, as they picked up the 31-0 victory in front of their home crowd in Kansas City.
The Chiefs are now back at Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Washington Commanders without star quarterback Jayden Daniels. But backup Marcus Mariota can win games, and the scoreline certainly won’t be zero for the visitors this time. So, here’s who’s calling the prime-time action on ESPN.

The broadcast features the iconic Joe Buck and Troy Aikman duo, with Buck on play-by-play and Aikman providing expert analysis from his Hall of Fame perspective.
Buck and Aikman have been calling games together since 2002, first at FOX before moving to Monday Night Football in 2022. Together, they’ve covered over 300 NFL regular-season games, 18 NFC Championship matchups, and six Super Bowls.
Buck, a seasoned play-by-play voice since 1994, has extensive Major League Baseball experience, including 24 World Series broadcasts. Aikman, who retired from the Cowboys in 2001 with three Super Bowls, brought his on-field expertise to NFL broadcasts for over two decades.
Meanwhile, the sideline reporting team provides essential context beyond the main action. Salters has been part of Monday Night Football since 2012, delivering real-time injury updates, player interviews, and on-field insights with clarity and precision.
Rutledge complements her by offering additional perspectives from the opposite side, including pre-game and in-game interviews with coaches and players.
For radio coverage, the Chiefs Radio Network will feature Mitch Holthus on play-by-play, former NFL wide receiver Danan Hughes as analyst and Josh Klingler as the sideline reporter. So, whether on television or radio, fans are in for an insightful broadcast of this primetime matchup.
