NFL Draft Start Time and Schedule
The 2025 NFL Draft will be held at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, continuing a recent trend of warm-weather cities getting the Super Bowl and cooler climates getting the draft.
The Tennessee Titans own the No. 1 overall selection and will be on the clock starting at 8 p.m. ET. For the first round, teams are given a maximum of 10 minutes to make their pick.
The second round will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, and Day 2 will feature two rounds of selections. Things will wrap up with Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, starting at noon ET and concluding with “Mr. Irrelevant” at pick No. 257.
The 2025 NFL Draft will be broadcast on the NFL Network, ABC, and ESPN. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, FuboTV, and Sling TV are alternatives to catch the action. ESPN will also be livestreaming an alternate broadcast of the first round called “The Pat McAfee Draft Spectacular” across YouTube, TikTok, the ESPN app, and ESPN+.
What Time Will the Dolphins Make Their First-Round Pick?
If the Miami Dolphins stay at 13th overall, they would be estimated to make their first pick at around 9:46 p.m. ET based on past trends and the time between picks. That’s assuming each team takes roughly their full allotment of time on the clock, though, and prior years indicate the 13th pick could be made between roughly 9:35 p.m. ET and 9:56 p.m. ET.
Last year, the No. 13 pick was announced at 9:35 p.m. ET.
As a reminder, teams have 10 minutes to make their picks in Round 1. That decreases to seven minutes per pick in Round 2, five minutes per pick from Rounds 3-6, and four minutes per pick in Round 7.
PFSN’s Latest Draft Projection for the Dolphins
In his latest seven-round mock draft, PFSN’s NFL Draft analyst Jacob Infante projects the Dolphins will select Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Simmons with the No. 13 overall pick:
“With Tua Tagovailoa’s injury history, protecting him has to be the Miami Dolphins’ top priority. They could address that early in the NFL Draft.
“If Josh Simmons hadn’t been injured during the regular season, he might have pushed into the OT1 conversation. He moves well for his position, has great body control, and plays with a high football IQ.”
