In 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs came up just short of the first Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history. However, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid remain as dangerous as ever and just need a few pieces to remain among the short list of title contenders in 2025.
As the Chiefs seek to reach their sixth Super Bowl in seven seasons, let’s take a look at all of Kansas City’s picks entering the 2025 NFL Draft, when the Chiefs will make their first-round selection, as well as PFSN’s final mock draft projection for the team.

Here are the Chiefs’ scheduled picks entering the draft:
- Round 1: No. 31 overall
- Round 2: No. 63
- Round 3: Nos. 66 (from Titans), 95
- Round 4: No. 133
- Round 7: No. 226 (from Panthers)

NFL Draft Start Time and Schedule
The 2025 NFL Draft will be held at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, continuing a recent trend of warm-weather cities getting the Super Bowl and cooler climates getting the draft.
The Tennessee Titans own the No. 1 overall selection and will be on the clock starting at 8 p.m. ET. For the first round, teams are given a maximum of 10 minutes to make their pick.
The second round will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, and Day 2 will feature two rounds of selections. Things will wrap up with Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, starting at noon ET and concluding with “Mr. Irrelevant” at pick No. 257.
The 2025 NFL Draft will be broadcast on the NFL Network, ABC, and ESPN. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, FuboTV, and Sling TV are alternatives to catch the action. ESPN will also be livestreaming an alternate broadcast of the first round called “The Pat McAfee Draft Spectacular” across YouTube, TikTok, the ESPN app, and ESPN+.
What Time Will the Chiefs Make their 1st Round Pick?
If the Chiefs stay at No. 31 overall, they would be estimated to make their first pick around 12:10 a.m. ET based on past trends and the time between picks. That’s assuming each team takes roughly their full allotment of time on the clock, though, and prior years indicate the 31st pick could be made between roughly 12 a.m. ET and 12:20 a.m. ET.
It’s worth noting that last year’s 31st selection was announced at 11:44 p.m. ET, so you might want to tune in a bit early just to be safe.
As a reminder, teams have 10 minutes to make their picks in Round 1. That decreases to seven minutes per pick in Round 2, five minutes per pick from Rounds 3-6, and four minutes per pick in Round 7.
PFSN’s Latest Draft Projection for the Chiefs
In PFSN’s final seven-round mock draft, the Chiefs ended up with Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr. with the 31st overall pick. Here’s what PFSN’s Jacob Infante had to say about the potential pairing:
“After addressing the offensive line in free agency, the Kansas City Chiefs turn their focus to the defensive trenches in this mock draft.
“James Pearce Jr. is an explosive pass rusher with quick hands and great flexibility. He’d form a strong duo with George Karlaftis in Kansas City.”
