Prospects To Watch on Day 2
Tight ends could make a big splash on Day 2. While Utah’s Dalton Kincaid and Notre Dame’s Michael Mayer are vying for the top spot and a first-round selection, the second tier of TEs can make an impact of their own.
While no Brock Bowers, Georgia TE Darnell Washington is a game-changer in his own right. Leaving the NFL Combine with a RAS of 9.88 turned heads, but an NFL coaching staff will need to polish his game a bit. With his abilities as a receiver already noteworthy, NFL franchises will benefit from Washington’s size and blocking expertise from Day 1 as he transitions his game.

Another name to watch is South Dakota State TE Tucker Kraft. While he still has eligibility in college football, Kraft has displayed plenty to head to the next level. He lacks the traditional route tree of a playmaking tight end, but that should be solved by working with NFL assistants instead of FCS offensive schemes.
Day 2 is all about finding quality players to fill team needs and can eventually become starters. After catching 92 passes for 1,121 yards and nine touchdowns over the past two seasons, Kraft is ready to make a difference for an NFL team.
