Those in attendance for Monday night’s game between the Washington Commanders and the Kansas City Chiefs will be in for a halftime treat.
A familiar voice will command the stage during the halftime intermission at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Here’s everything fans need to know about the performance.

What is the Halftime Show at Commanders-Chiefs?
It was announced that Filipino recording artist Sofronio Vasquez will perform at halftime in Kansas City. Vasquez, 32, gained national recognition for competing in the 26th season of “The Voice.” He won the competition, becoming the first male Asian winner in the show’s existence and the first Filipino winner.
Vasquez, born in the Philippines, also studied dentistry and is pursuing a career in dental hygiene. However, after the death of his father in 2018, he ventured into the music scene to become a singer.
During his stint on The Voice, Vasquez had the opportunity to work with either of the show’s four coaches: Michael Bublé, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg. He ultimately joined Team Bublé and excelled during the show’s run. As part of his victory, he won $100,000 and a contract with Universal Music Group.
For the show’s finale, Vasquez performed “Unstoppable” by Sia, an Australian singer-songwriter whose music has won 78 awards. Vasquez released his first two singles this past summer, “Nandito Lang” and “Patient,” currently his two most popular songs on Spotify.
Commanders-Chiefs Preview
Monday night should be a captivating spectacle from start to finish, halftime included.
The Commanders’ season is already on life support, and it isn’t even November yet. They’re limping into Kansas City with Marcus Mariota leading the way at quarterback, not Jayden Daniels. Daniels has already missed two games this season after sustaining a knee sprain in the Sept. 11 loss to the Green Bay Packers, and now he’ll miss a third Monday night with a hamstring strain.
After a phenomenal rookie season that saw the Commanders advance to the NFC Championship Game, 2025 has been anything but that. The Commanders are 3-4, and Patrick Mahomes and the red-hot Chiefs are eager to hand them their fifth loss of the season.
Mahomes is on the heels of perhaps his best performance of the year. He completed 26 of his 35 passing attempts for 286 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s 31-0 shutout against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs haven’t looked like their usual selves through the first month-and-a-half of the year, but they’ve appeared to find their stride, aided by the return of wide receiver Rashee Rice.
The Chiefs have won back-to-back games, and they’ve done so impressively. Before their throttling of the Raiders last week, they beat the Detroit Lions by multiple scores in front of a primetime “Sunday Night Football” audience.
Monday night’s contest will take place on Oct. 27 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
