What Is a Taylor Swift Super Bowl Party? Looking at How Swifties Are Celebrating the Big Game

There will be Taylor Swift Super Bowl parties all across the world with people decked out in red, white, and gold. These aren’t just Super Bowl parties; these are “Taylor Bowl” parties, according to The Washington Post.

Similar to most games she’s attended, you can expect there to be a major focus on the global pop star, while she cheers on her future Hall of Fame boyfriend and current Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift’s Impact on the Super Bowl

It should be known the Chiefs have not lost a Super Bowl where Swift was in attendance. There are even rumors and prop bets that if the Chiefs win, Kelce will propose to the pop star after the game.

Swift performed at the Super Bowl venue in October for a three-date mini tour. Fans look at that as a sign from above.

“I feel like when she was there, she probably blessed the stadium,” said Stephanie Pearson to The Washington Post. Pearson is a Georgia teacher who will be among the many hosting a Swift-themed party for Super Bowl 59.

“And maybe there’s some Taylor voodoo going on for a 3-peat.”

Many fans are embracing the connection, with Super Bowl parties featuring Swift-themed outfits, cardboard cutouts of Kelce’s face, and snacks named after her original song lyrics. It’s a unique way for female Swifties to engage with a sport that is typically a male-dominated field.

A self-proclaimed “hardcore Swiftie,” Gina Crosley-Corcoran became a Swiftie after the singer released her 2017 “Reputation” album and now leads a six-member Swift tribute band called Burning Red. She will be rooting on the Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.

Crosley-Corcoran said watching games at male-dominant sports bars felt unwelcoming to female fans like her, who relished spotting Swift at games. She didn’t appreciate that some men booed and hissed when TV cameras showed the pop star or implied that anyone new to watching football didn’t belong.

So when the Chiefs were set to face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, she knew exactly what she had to do.

“I don’t want to go to a bar where anyone’s going to complain when they show Taylor on TV, so we’re going to throw a party here,” Crosley-Corcoran said she decided.

The result was Crosley-Corcoran’s first “Taylor Bowl” — an event she plans to re-create again for Super Bowl 59.
