The Week 10 game between the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions turned historic for a rather unique reason. It marked the first time in nearly 60 years that a sitting President of the United States of America was attending a regular-season game in person.
Arriving as a guest of the Commander’s owner, Josh Harris, his presence was felt by all the players on the field and the fans in the stands. During the course of the game, he also stepped into the announcer’s booth for a brief period of time. It was in that conversation that broadcaster Jonathan Vilma was able to sneak in a uniquely viral joke.
Jonathan Vilma Shocks With “67” Joke to President Donald Trump
With Trump standing alongside the announcers, fans were treated to a few uninterrupted minutes of the President in conversation with Cris Collinsworth and Vilma, who were calling the action between Washington and the Lions.
But during their interview, Vilma brought up an interesting picture from back when Trump was a football player at the New York Military Academy. Simultaneously, he asked the president a question that sounded genuine.
“We were trying to look up your stats, and we wanted to know. How many touchdowns did you have back then?” However, immediately afterwards, he guessed, “Six? Seven?” It might have been innocuous had the meme not taken social media by storm in the last few months.

Thanks to rapper Skrilla, the phrase first became popular on platforms like TikTok before reaching a mass audience, where it is associated with purely baseless brain-rot humor. However, thanks to its popularity, it has become a phrase everyone tries to incorporate.
Trump, on his end, didn’t see the stress Vilma put in his question as he seriously responded, “I’m not sure I have any recollection. I’m not sure, that’s a long time ago.”
