The Washington Commanders are looking to build on a good foundation year for head coach Dan Quinn and quarterback Jayden Daniels. They exceeded all expectations, advancing to the NFC Championship game in their first season.
The team would now be looking to build on that momentum by surrounding Daniels with more talent. They have already brought in wide receiver Deebo Samuel and will add more pieces in the NFL. The latest 7-round mock draft from PFSN by Ian Cummings projects what the Washington Commanders will do in the upcoming NFL draft.
29) Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
The Washington Commanders’ approach to free agency leaves them with complete flexibility on draft day. They could go with a Round 1 EDGE, or a CB, but can also afford to take a highly graded player at RB if the board falls their way.
Omarion Hampton is very well-regarded in the 2025 NFL Draft. He has similar size and physicality to Brian Robinson Jr., but is superior to Robinson with his speed, second-level creative IQ, and pass-game ability. For Washington, this is pressing the ‘upgrade’ button.
70) Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
In this scenario, the Commanders move down nine spots in exchange for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 107th pick in round 4 and their 2026 4th-round pick.
After trading down, the Commanders score a massive value addition with Princely Umanmielen, “a supercharged speed and finesse rusher with great instincts in run defense.”
107) Tai Felton, WR, Maryland
With the extra fourth-round pick, they select a wide receiver for quarterback Jayden Daniels. Tai Felton was a four-year Senior at the University of Maryland, just 15 minutes away from the Washington Commanders’ Northwest Stadium. He has 17 touchdowns in his college football career.
His biggest strengths are his speed and explosiveness, which he uses to get separation from his defenders. He can also be effective in generating yards after the catch.
128) RJ Mickens, S, Clemson
RJ Mickens was a pivotal leader for the Clemson defense. The 23-year-old recorded 75 tackles, six tackles for loss, two interceptions, and seven pass breakups in 2024. He was used in a variety of roles in the secondary and came up with big playmaking moments. His best attributes are his range, timeliness, and tackling skills.
205) Jermari Harris, CB, Iowa
Jermari Harris is a ball-hawking cornerback who is best suited as an outside zone cornerback. He has an eye for interceptions, snagging eight in his college football career. He has great anticipation skills in jumping routes.
245) Aiden Williams, OG, Minnesota-Duluth
Aiden Williams is a senior at Minnesota-Duluth who played mostly as a tackle in college. He would likely have to transition to guard in the NFL due to his lack of length. He has a good first step off the snap and is effective as a lateral blocker. However, he has not faced many elite players, and he will need to work on maintaining leverage if he wants to make it to the NFL.
