Diego Pavia, quarterback for Vanderbilt, entered Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Combine determined to prove he belonged among the other top-end passers in the class. He left Lucas Oil Field with confidence, despite lingering questions about his place in the NFL.
Diego Pavia Sends Uplifting Message Following Combine Session
After completing his throwing session, during which he showcased a strong arm, Pavia walked off the field in Indianapolis appearing to have accomplished everything he set out to do. He recorded himself and shared an inspiring message about resilience and believing in yourself.
“This is Diego Pavia,” the quarterback said to the camera, “Had a great day here at combine, met some great people, you know. I just want to shout out just being here, you know. It’s a dream come true for someone like me from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I hope all ya’ll watching, you make your dreams come true. Don’t let them tell you anything. God bless ya’ll.”

While Pavia’s uplifting words and solid passing display stood out, he still left the Combine without addressing many of the questions scouts and front offices had.
He opted not to run the 40-yard dash, a decision that aligned with the trend this year, as only seven quarterbacks participated in the drill during Saturday’s session.
For a quarterback known as a gritty, powerful runner, the 40-yard dash might have been the ideal opportunity to reinforce his playing style. Instead, as with many quarterbacks ranked higher than Pavia, scouts will have to wait until his Pro Day for further evaluation.
Only the results of the 2026 NFL Draft will reveal whether Saturday’s performance helped or hurt Pavia’s stock. For now, he appears satisfied with how the day unfolded.
