Tyreek Hill Trade Rumors: NFL Insider Reveals Dolphins’ Likely Asking Price For the $90,000,000 WR

Albert Breer reports what the Dolphins would be willing to trade Tyreek Hill for, with his age, decline and off-field issues clouding his market value.

Tyreek Hill’s relationship with the Miami Dolphins has been strained for a while, but the wide receiver still chose to stay with the team this season. His statement at the end of last year’s finale, when he said he was done, doesn’t seem to have been forgiven internally, and the frustration is evident.

That has made his name one of the most likely to surface in trade talks ahead of the deadline, though his market value remains uncertain, factoring in both his age and off-field issues. An insider has revealed what Miami is expected to ask in return for the star receiver, and the price might surprise you.

Albert Breer Reveals What the Dolphins Would Be Willing to Trade Tyreek Hill For

At no point in his career has Hill’s future in the NFL felt this uncertain. Two seasons ago, he was widely regarded as the league’s best wide receiver, earning back-to-back first-team All-Pro selections and topping 1,700 receiving yards.

Last year, however, didn’t go as expected. In Tua Tagovailoa’s absence, Hill struggled to make an impact, and even after the quarterback returned, he never recaptured the explosive form of his peak seasons. The frustration boiled over, leading Hill to request a trade that ultimately never materialized.

But after a crushing Week 1 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, those frustrations resurfaced when he was caught complaining on the sideline, reigniting speculation about a possible move. According to Albert Breer, the Dolphins already have a clear asking price in mind if they decide to deal Hill.

“Obviously, the allegations from Hill’s estranged wife will have a material effect on all that, and I’d admit I’m a little hesitant to talk about his trade value with that going on,” Breer said. “But if he’s cleared, and that’s obviously a big if, I think you’d probably be talking about something in the range of a third-round pick and maybe a Day 2 pick on top of that.”

Breer pointed out that Hill’s domestic violence case could significantly impact his trade value. His ex-wife, Keeta Vaccaro, recently accused him of multiple incidents of domestic abuse in a case the NFL is expected to review soon, with the possibility of a suspension looming.

Hill already carries a history of off-field issues. In 2014, while in college, he pleaded guilty to domestic violence and battery by strangulation charges. In 2019, he was investigated for potential child abuse, though no charges were filed.

In addition, Hill is now 31 years old and past his prime, further lowering his market value. The risk-reward factor with him isn’t what it once was, making trade negotiations more complicated.

“Hill’s last 100-yard game was in Week 1 of 2024; he’s 31 years old, and there’s the baggage any team acquiring him would assume, too. I don’t see a big market, which is why many folks are ruminating on the idea of Hill returning to Kansas City in midseason,” Breer said.

In 2024, Hill finished the year with 959 yards and six touchdowns on 81 catches, his lowest production since 2019, when he played only 12 games. He restructured his contract to a three-year, $90 million deal in 2024.

A trade could offer Hill the change of scenery he needs while giving the Dolphins a chance to reset and invest in players fully committed to the franchise.
