The Tennessee Titans will face the Houston Texans in Week 12. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding RB Tyjae Spears.
Is Tyjae Spears Playing in Week 12?
Tyjae Spears left Week 11 early in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion and did not return. The Tennessee Titans RB never practiced this week and has been ruled out for Week 12.
Spears missed Weeks 7 through 9 with a hamstring injury, allowing fellow Titans RB Tony Pollard to turn into a genuine workhorse. Pollard played at least 82% of Tennessee’s snaps and handled 22+ touches in each game without Pollard.
The Titans haven’t shown any willingness to involve backup RBs Julius Chestnut or Josh Kelley, so Pollard could be trending toward another insane workload.
We’ll continue to monitor the Titans’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Tyjae Spears’ Fantasy Outlook
Tyjae Spears entered concussion protocol on Monday. While he has been on the field a decent amount after missing a month (47.1% snap share in Week 10 and 43.6% on Sunday), this offense isn’t strong enough to support a secondary role.
I remain intrigued by what it is that Spears brings to the table, but that’s a conversation to be had this summer for 2025, not for helping you win over the next six weeks. You can feel just fine about moving on from Spears in most formats, assuming that there is a role/matchup that you find intriguing on the wire.
