Through the first two weeks of the season, it was hard to find a team that looked more dominant than the Green Bay Packers. Going up against two quality opponents in the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders, the new-look Packers were able to handily dominate two squads that have Super Bowl aspirations themselves.
Going into Week 3, they face a relatively easy challenge in the form of the lowly Cleveland Browns. However, possessing a game-changing presence like Myles Garrett and a defense that is perpetually excellent, the Browns can become a tough challenge for any team on any given night.
That is why news of star tight end Tucker Kraft potentially being hampered and his status being up in the air made it a worrying development for the Packers fan base.
Will Tucker Kraft Play Against the Cleveland Browns?
An already solid defense received a major boost when Green Bay added Micah Parsons to the unit. That trade signalled the intent from the franchise to become contenders for the Super Bowl.
Additionally, it gave the offense some breathing room. That was evident through the first two weeks of the season, as the Packers won 27-13 and 27-18 against two teams with electric offenses themselves.
However, throughout the week leading up to their clash against Cleveland, a scary situation has been developing for the Packers, with Kraft showing up on the injury report. A left knee injury during practice limited him to limited participation the rest of the week.
It was an especially tough pill to swallow after he had the game of his career against Washington, tallying 124 yards and a touchdown on six receptions, which included a 57-yard catch-and-run.

After a broken collarbone to Jayden Reed put him on the injured reserve list, losing another one of their key pass-catching options would have been brutal for Green Bay. But the latest reports out of Tom Pelissero will allow the entire fan base to breathe a sigh of relief.

Taking to X, the NFL Network insider confirmed, “Good news for Green Bay: After an injury scare Thursday and not practicing Friday, #Packers TE Tucker Kraft is expected to play Sunday vs. the #Browns, per The Insiders.”
Having Kraft available should allow the Packers to sustain their winning ways. A second-round pick in 2023, Kraft did not truly explode until Year 2. Last year, he accounted for 707 yards and seven touchdowns.
The NFC North-leading Packers will play the AFC North Browns in Cleveland at 1 p.m. ET on local FOX affiliates.
