Calls Mount for Tua Tagovailoa ‘To Retire’ After Dolphins QB Makes Massive Mistake in Bills Loss

NFL fans have had just about enough of Miami's Tua Tagovailoa after Thursday's latest loss against the Buffalo Bills.

At the end of a close divisional game, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw a costly interception.

The Dolphins are now 0-3 on the year so far, facing a disastrous start to the 2025 NFL season. Thursday’s football matchup against the Buffalo Bills saw Miami take its latest loss in a 31-21 fashion at Highmark Stadium.

Tagovailoa finished the game against Buffalo with 22 completions on a grand total of 34 attempts, also throwing for two touchdowns and one interception.

NFL Fans Exhausted From Watching Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa, Begs the QB To Retire

Most fans who tuned into the Thursday Night Football matchup were not exactly thrilled with Tagovailoa’s performance.

“Tua might just need to retire ain’t no use of tryna play but playing scared and not being able to trust your pocket,” said one NFL fan on X.

“They should’ve let Tua go last year and let him retire. The whole thing is just sad,” another said.

“Tua stinks and he needs to retire from football,” one other fan tuning into the Dolphins game said.

Tagovailoa is 27 years old, an alum of the University of Alabama and a former No. 5 overall pick from the 2020 draft.

His career-best season came in 2023 when he threw for 29 touchdowns and 4,624 yards. However, he also threw for 14 interceptions that same year.

“At this point, Tua should just retire,” said another fan.

Tagovailoa is not a ground quarterback at all, having only rushed for a total of 437 yards and six touchdowns across six total seasons of work so far logged by ESPN.

The signal caller’s most recent interception, with just over three minutes left in the game, all but sealed the deal for the Bills.

“Tua needs to retire. Get him the F** outta here. Give me Zach Wilson. That’s how desperate we are,” one fan said.

“Dolphins gotta sit Tua and play Quinn. Tua time is over in Miami,” said one college football podcaster.

“Tua Tagovailoa needs to retire he is traumatized from past hits like throw the ball bro.” another fan said.

Clearly, fans across the entire league are begging for Tagovailoa to retire. He concluded his game against Buffalo with a 64.7 completion percentage.

“Tua gotta retire man,” one last fan said.

Miami and Tagovailoa’s next matchup is slated for September 29 when they host the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium; kickoff will be slated for 7:15 p.m. EST.
