The Miami Dolphins look to establish their presence as a contender among the AFC’s best. After a few winning seasons, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have fallen short in their postseason endeavors. With Tua under a brand-new long-term contract, can he help Miami earn their first playoff victory since 2000?
Tagovailoa had the best statistical season of his career in 2023, completing 388 passes on 560 attempts and amassing 4,624 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions, all of which were career highs. He also saw limited time off the field, playing in 17 games for the first time in his career.
Football has been a constant in Tagovailoa’s life. So has his wife. Who is his wife, Annah Gore?
Who Is Tua Tagovailoa’s Wife, Annah Gore?
Tagovailoa was born in Oahu, Hawaii, while Gore was born in High Point, North Carolina. It isn’t fully known how the two met, as they keep their life private, but it’s reported that they might have met as early as high school.
The two would both go on to attend the University of Alabama. Tagovailoa spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide, passing for 7,442 yards, 87 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He added nine touchdowns on the ground.
Tagovailoa left Alabama for the 2020 NFL Draft, where he was taken with the fifth overall selection by the Dolphins. Since being drafted, he’s passed for 12,977 yards, 82 touchdowns, and 37 interceptions.
Gore’s father is a businessman. Additionally, she has four siblings (two brothers, Garrison and Ayden, and two sisters, Ally and Grace). She attended St. Gertrude High School, where she played field hockey.
Court records showed that the two tied the knot in 2022, just 10 days before training camp. Her relationship and marriage with Tagovailoa was private until information was leaked in 2022.
“I mean, for me, I love to keep my life as private as possible, and that’s what we tried to do with me, my wife, and my family,” said Tagovailoa.
Gore does appear at Dolphins games and is occasionally active on Instagram. The couple both posted about their first anniversary on July 17.

Just four months after tying the knot, the couple welcomed their first child — a baby boy named Ace. In an interview with the Sun Sentinel, Tagovailoa explained that it isn’t easy. “There’s no playbook for this,” he said.
Late in July, after a long negotiating period, Tua and the Dolphins finally agreed on a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension. With $167.1 million in guaranteed money, the veteran QB and his family all smiled as he put pen to paper on his new deal. Annah, Ace, and daughter Maisey were all in attendance for the momentous occasion.
Given the Dolphins’ investment in Tagovailoa, there will be some high expectations of the quarterback from here on out. But he has secured a stable financial future for his wife and kids.
The Dolphins got off to a hot start in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season. Can they keep the momentum going?
