Troy Aikman’s Net Worth, Salary, and Career Earnings

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Aikman’s net worth sits at $65 million. In addition to that, he has a salary of $18 million.

Aikman began growing his wealth in the NFL, where he played 12 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. After being taken No. 1 overall in the 1989 NFL Draft, Aikman became a three-time Super Bowl champion and six-time Pro Bowler, among countless other awards. During his entire NFL career, Aikman earned $55.5 million, an average of $4.6 million per year.

Aikman earned the most money in his career, $16 million, in 1999 alone. Besides 1993, when he made $10.75 million, he never made more than $6 million in a year. He retired in 2001, immediately following the conclusion of the 2000 season.

As soon as his retirement was official, Aikman began his broadcasting career with FOX, where he’s been almost ever since. After just one year, he was named to the network’s lead announcing crew, teaming with Joe Buck and Cris Collinsworth. While no official figure is nailed down, he reportedly netted $7.5 million per year from FOX.

    Nowadays, Aikman is with ESPN.

In 2022, Aikman and Buck left FOX for ESPN’s Monday Night Football. The worldwide leader brought both in on a five-year, $155 million deal combined. Aikman is getting $90 million of that, averaging down to $18 million per year.

In addition to his two-decade career as an announcer, Aikman also hosts a weekly sports radio show on Sporting News Radio and makes regular appearances elsewhere, including on the Dunham & Miller morning show on Dallas sports talk radio station.

He also co-owns a NASCAR racing team and a minority stake in the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball.
