The 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick, Cam Ward, has his work cut out for him in Tennessee. The Titans’ newest quarterback immediately jumped above Will Levis in the depth chart, but Ward does not have an easy task to turn around the Titans organization. With the Treylon Burks injury, his task became even more of an issue.
Update on Treylon Burks’ Injury and the Titans’ WR Room
With 13 receivers currently on the roster, Burks knows that his spot on the team is not guaranteed. The 25-year-old has yet to play more than 11 games in a season, having just one receiving touchdown in his 53 receptions.
In the final stages of recovering from his ACL tear, Burks remains grateful for everything he’s had in his life so far.
“I’m just blessed by the grace of God, and the people that have poured into me, and have worked with me every day to get me back to where I am now.”@Titans WR @TreylonBurks buoyed by faith, family, as he works his way back from ACL injury.

“Every day that I am here at this facility, and every day that I am working, I don’t take it for granted,” Burks said. “It means a lot more to me now. I’m not saying it didn’t mean a lot before, but it definitely means more now.”
He continued, “I am not going out to prove nobody wrong, I am going out to prove myself right. I tore my ACL (last October), and I am running. I am running routes, doing everything within those seven months, and it’s like, ‘Wow.’ And it’s nobody but God who made it happen. That’s who I play for and that’s who I lean on.”
Ward will have to spend the first part of the season without Burks’ injury, but it’s still unknown as to how long that will be. Upon return from injury, the Arkansas graduate will look to rebound from a season where he had just four receptions in five games played.
Looking elsewhere, Ward has Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett, a pair of experienced receivers. Ridley began his Titans career last season, hauling in four receiving touchdowns as he had back-to-back 1,000+ yard seasons. Ridley has done so in three of his past four seasons, with his 2021 season being the exception.
Lockett is a few years older than Ridley, and he’ll be playing on a new team for the first time in his career. While his production has been down in each of the last four seasons, he continues to be a reliable veteran who will help Ward settle into the league.
There’s no telling how Chimere Dike or Elic Ayomanor will do, two of the team’s 2025 draft selections. Tennessee put a lot of stock into drafting offensive talent, with Dike being selected at No. 103 and Ayomanor selected later at No. 136. Ward is joined by a few new names on offense as the Titans know they can only improve from their 3-14 year.
