TreVeyon Henderson is one of the top three running backs in the 2025 NFL Draft Class. With only two RBs selected on Day 1 of the draft, Henderson is poised to be picked early on Day 2.
With plenty of teams still in need of an RB, let’s take a look at the top three landing spots for the Ohio State standout.
Best Potential Landing Spots For TreVeyon Henderson
Henderson had no qualms about sharing the Ohio State backfield with Quinshon Judkins, and even as Judkins eclipsed Henderson in carries, Henderson bested Judkins with his efficiency. He was the better goal-line option and receiving threat.
At 5’10”, 202 pounds, Henderson is a compact, low-to-the-ground slasher with the burst and speed to reach the second level in a blink. He’s physical and hyperactive, yet he’s a controlled pass-catcher and an ultra-reliable pass-protector with third-down value. That all-around ability, combined with his home-run speed, is what many teams are looking for.
Where could Henderson end up heading into Night 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft?
Chicago Bears
The Bears were believed to be in the hunt for Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty on Day 1 of the draft. But after Jeanty was taken early by the Las Vegas Raiders, the Bears pivoted to the tight end room, selecting Colston Loveland, and would now be in the hunt for an RB on Day 2.
Henderson has outstanding vision, burst, and playmaking ability. He would be a tremendous fit and given a great chance to succeed in the Bears’ new head coach, Ben Johnson’s, offensive system. Chicago is picking 39th overall on Night 2.
Cleveland Browns
With Nick Chubb still a free agent, the Browns find themselves in need of a running back to compete for their starting spot. They had the chance to do so in the first round by selecting Jeanty at No. 5 overall but they instead selected Mason Graham.
Browns have an additional second pick (36, and original 33) after trading back from their No. 2 overall selection, and could draft Henderson as Chubb’s replacement. His breakaway speed, agility in the open field, and three-down value could make him a good starting running back in the league.
Denver Broncos
As of this writing, the projected starting running back for the Broncos is Jaleel McLaughlin. While they have some good committee pieces in place, they desperately need star power, and Henderson, who they hosted on a top 30 visit as well, could provide that.
The Ohio Standout could be one of Sean Payton’s final offensive pieces. He has the seam-stretching speed and vision to be a home-run threat while taking volume. He’s also the perfect third-down back in the pass game.
