Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his fiancée, global pop star Taylor Swift, may be keeping mum about their wedding, which is rumored to take place in July, but dad Ed Kelce can’t contain his excitement.
Kelce and Swift got engaged during the last NFL offseason, and all signs point to the couple saying “I do” over the Fourth of July weekend at Madison Square Garden. Ahead of the rumored ceremony, Ed had the ultimate compliment for the 14-time Grammy winner.

Like the star couple, Ed did not confirm the wedding date or venue. However, the 75-year-old said he was more than excited while showering praise on his future daughter-in-law.
“I am super excited. She’s a sweetheart; that is truly the girl next door. Just like Kylie [Jason Kelce’s wife],” he told Fox 29 Philadelphia.
Ed was supporting his elder son, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, at the Ocean Drive fundraiser on June 24. He added that he was proud of the work Jason and Travis were doing both on and off the field by giving back to the community.
Jason also spoke with reporters, saying he was looking forward to the wedding.

“Obviously very excited, very excited for my brother, obviously a big moment for him,” Jason said, per People. “I’m very happy for both of them and looking forward to celebrating with them, and it’s a good year right now and it’s a good year for both of them as well.”
Meanwhile, Travis has been celebrating the final days of his bachelorhood with friends, alongside Jason and Swift’s brother, Austin. He was also recently spotted with Swift in Nashville at the start of the annual Tight End University event, where the pop star surprised attendees with a rendition of “Love Story.”
The couple has remained tight-lipped about their wedding plans, venue, and date. However, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani appeared to confirm the timing during a recent public appearance.

“We are the biggest city in the country,” Mamdani said. “We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one. We know it coincides with the Knicks’ [NBA] Finals run. We know it coincides with July Fourth, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time — and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”
Until the couple makes an official announcement, speculation will continue to swirl, but if the reports prove true, Kelce and Swift’s wedding is poised to be one of the biggest celebrity celebrations of the summer.
