Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift are certainly a power couple, as both have risen to the top of their respective fields. Kelce and Swift are extremely successful, and their bank accounts reflect that.

But this begs the question: who has the higher net worth? From Kelce’s NFL contracts and endorsement deals to Swift’s hugely popular tour and music sales, let’s delve into who has earned more.

What Is Taylor Swift’s Net Worth?

Swift is absolutely killing it, with a net worth estimated at $1.3 billion. Over the last two years, her net worth has skyrocketed thanks to the earnings from her ridiculously popular Eras Tour and the increasing value of her masters. In early 2023, she had an estimated net worth of $740 million, so it has increased by $560 million in about a year and a half.

As of August of 2024, Swift is the 2,344th-richest person on the planet, according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires ranking.

She’s just the fifth musician to reach billionaire status, joining Rihanna, Jay Z, Jimmy Buffett, and Bruce Springsteen. However, Forbes notes that Swift “is the first musician to make the billionaire ranking primarily based on her songs and performances.”

Her music catalog is worth roughly $600 million, her touring and royalties have brought in nearly $600 million, and she also has $125 million in real estate.

Her Eras Tour and subsequent film, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” have been huge money-makers. The Eras Tour is arguably the most successful tour of all time. She recently became the first solo artist to play Wembley Stadium eight times in a single tour, breaking Michael Jackson’s record that stood for 36 years.

The film was a hit as well, grossing $261,656,269 worldwide and breaking the record for a concert film (previously set by Jackson’s “This Is It”). The documentary also earned a Golden Globe nomination in the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.

What Is Travis Kelce’s Net Worth?

Kelce is doing really well for himself, but it pales in comparison to Swift’s earnings.

The three-time Super Bowl winner has an estimated net worth of $70 million. Throughout his time with the Chiefs, he’s earned $76,943,975 from his NFL contracts alone.

In April, Kelce agreed to a contract extension with Kansas City that raised his 2024 salary by $4 million and converted most of his 2025 salary to a roster bonus. Now, he’ll earn $19,551,667 during the 2024 season — making him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end.

Kelce likely could’ve earned more throughout his NFL career if he was willing to hit the open market, but he has always valued winning over a larger salary.

As he told Vanity Fair: “My managers and agents love to tell me how underpaid I am … I’m like, the free market looks like fun until you go somewhere and you don’t win. I love winning. I love the situation I’m in.”

In addition to his NFL contracts, Kelce also has quite a few endorsement deals. He has partnered with companies such as McDonald’s, Pfizer, State Farm, Papa John’s, Bud Light, Sleep Number, Tide, Dick’s Sporting Goods, T-Mobile, Experian, Old Spice, Walgreens, and DirecTV, among others.

Kelce also has one of the most popular sports podcasts, “New Heights,” which he hosts with his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. The Kelce brothers recently inked a three-year, $100 million podcast distribution deal with Wondery.

Since he started dating Swift, Kelce has become a household name and received a ton of off-field opportunities.

For example, Hollywood has come calling over the last year. On “New Heights, the Kelce brothers recently mentioned that they have been meeting with studios about possible movie and television opportunities.

Travis is rumored to have a role in the upcoming Adam Sandler movie “Happy Gilmore 2,” and he recently hosted the first season of the game show “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” on Amazon Prime Video.

Last year, Kelce purchased a 16,000-square-foot mansion for $6 million in Kansas City. That same year, he also became an investor in Casa Azul Tequila.

Kelce’s net worth is certainly on the rise, but it seems unlikely that he’ll ever be able to catch up to Swift’s.
