Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift are a power couple, as both have risen to the top of their respective fields.
Swift has amassed a massive following and recently wrapped up arguably the most successful tour of all time. Meanwhile, Kelce is a three-time Super Bowl champion who hosts a massively successful podcast.
But this begs the question: who has the higher net worth? From Kelce’s NFL contracts and endorsement deals to Swift’s hugely popular tour and music sales, let’s delve into who has earned more.
What Is Taylor Swift’s Net Worth?
Swift is absolutely killing it, with a net worth estimated at $1.6 billion. Over the last two years, her net worth has skyrocketed thanks to the earnings from her ridiculously popular “The Eras Tour” and the increasing value of her masters. In early 2023, she had an estimated net worth of $740 million, so it has drastically increased in a very short span.
As of January 2025, Swift is the 2,029th-richest person on the planet, according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires ranking.

She’s just the fifth musician to reach billionaire status, joining Rihanna, Jay Z, Jimmy Buffett, and Bruce Springsteen. However, Forbes notes that Swift “is the first musician to make the billionaire ranking primarily based on her songs and performances.”
Her music catalog is worth roughly $600 million, her touring and royalties have brought in nearly $600 million, and she also has $125 million in real estate.
“The Eras Tour” was a huge money-maker, becoming arguably the most successful tour of all time. She recently became the first solo artist to play Wembley Stadium eight times in a single tour, breaking Michael Jackson’s record that stood for 36 years.
The subsequent “Eras Tour” film was a hit as well, grossing $261,656,269 worldwide and breaking the record for a concert film (previously set by Jackson’s “This Is It”). The documentary also earned a Golden Globe nomination in the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
What Is Travis Kelce’s Net Worth?
Throughout his time with the Chiefs, Kelce has earned $93,943,975 from his NFL contracts alone.
Kelce has a net worth of $90 million, built on his NFL earnings, endorsements, and ventures like Casa Azul Reposado Tequila. The veteran’s business acumen matches his athleticism.
Kelce’s ventures go beyond apparel and nutrition. He’s also a savvy investor, earning a four-times return on his stake in L Catterton’s acquisition of Cholula Hot Sauce when McCormick & Company bought the brand for $800 million in 2020.
In Oct. 2023, Kelce and Walmart unveiled a barbecue product line, Travis Kelce’s Kitchen, inspired by Kansas City flavors. This followed the success of his 2022 collaboration with Hy-Vee, which launched Kelce’s Krunch, a limited-edition cereal supporting his charitable foundation.
Beyond football and business, Kelce shines in other arenas. He continues to redefine what it means to be an athlete in the modern era, from behind a microphone to the football field and boardrooms.
A prolific endorser, he’s been the face of brands like McDonald’s, Pfizer, State Farm, Papa John’s, Bud Light, Sleep Number, Tide, Dick’s Sporting Goods, T-Mobile, Experian, Old Spice, Walgreens, and DirecTV.
His entrepreneurial spirit took flight in 2019 with the launch of Hilo Nutrition, a health brand specializing in performance gummy supplements. Shortly after, in 2020, Kelce introduced Tru Kolors, his clothing line, which became the first NFL player-owned brand to collaborate officially with an NFL franchise, the Chiefs.
Kelce also has one of the most popular sports podcasts, “New Heights,” which he hosts with his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. The Kelce brothers recently inked a three-year, $100 million podcast distribution deal with Wondery.
Since he started dating Swift, Kelce has become a household name and received a ton of off-field opportunities. For example, Hollywood has come calling over the last year. The Chiefs’ tight end also starred in “Happy Gilmore 2.”
On “New Heights, the Kelce brothers recently mentioned that they have been meeting with studios about possible movie and television opportunities.
Last year, Kelce purchased a 16,000-square-foot mansion for $6 million in Kansas City. That same year, he also became an investor in Casa Azul Tequila.
Kelce’s net worth is certainly on the rise, but it seems unlikely that he’ll ever be able to catch up to Swift’s.
Travis Kelce Gets Engaged to Taylor Swift Ahead of 2025 NFL Season
Before the start of the 2025 NFL season, Kelce and Swift announced their engagement. Swift shared photos of the Chiefs’ tight end proposing to her in a post on Instagram.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift wrote as the caption of her post on Instagram.

There have been many rumors about the upcoming season being Kelce’s last in the NFL, and his engagement to Swift may have just fueled speculation that the Chiefs star is ready to walk away from football.
Given the way the Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl last season, it wouldn’t have been an ideal moment for Kelce to retire.
“Hopefully he’ll go out a champion,” Chiefs GM Brett Veach said at the NFL combine about Kelce, per ESPN. “Hopefully, he has a magical season to end a magical career.”
The Chiefs have a better roster than last year, and it wouldn’t surprise many if they make a fourth straight Super Bowl this upcoming season.
Chiefs-Chargers Week 1 Preview
The division rivalry between the Chiefs and Chargers should be a treat for the São Paulo audience, as the teams have routinely produced competitive games in recent years.
For both teams, it starts at quarterback. Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes remains one of the league’s best, having already won three Super Bowls before turning 30.
Meanwhile, Justin Herbert has the stats to rank among the game’s top passers but has yet to win a playoff game in his five-year career. He’ll be looking to change that narrative this season, starting with a statement against the Chiefs.
Kansas City’s passing attack will look similar to last season, with wideouts Xavier Worthy and JuJu Smith-Schuster complementing All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce. Their top receiver, Rashee Rice, is out against the Chargers while serving a suspension.
Los Angeles’ receiving corps isn’t much better, though second-year receiver Ladd McConkey is back after an impressive rookie season in which he caught 82 passes for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns. He’ll be Herbert’s No. 1 target.
Per our metrics, the Chargers will have an upper hand defensively. Coordinator Jesse Minter leads a unit that flies to the ball, anchored by pass rusher Khalil Mack and safety Derwin James.
The Chiefs’ defense graded out at a C last season but will look to improve behind defensive tackle Chris Jones and cornerback Trent McDuffie. Both are among the best at their positions, but need help from a young, unproven supporting cast.
As for the outcome, the Chiefs simply have the Chargers’ number. Los Angeles usually puts up a fight but falls short in the end. That shouldn’t change, even in Week 1 on South American soil.
Prediction:Â Chiefs 24, Chargers 20
