Where in the world are Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift? People are wondering where the world’s biggest stars are right now. Since the Super Bowl, the pair have been off the grid, leading to speculation that something major is coming.
Some think a breakup is on the way; others believe they may just be taking time for themselves. Here’s the latest on what we know, first starting with Kelce and the major decision he has to make.
Travis Kelce Mulls Retirement
Like most of his teammates, Kelce took the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles hard. “It just wasn’t our day,” Kelce said, “I couldn’t find a lick of momentum. I’m kicking myself for some of the tiny decisions I made on the field.”
Kelce didn’t have a good game. He had only had 39 yards receiving and zero touchdowns in the loss, and now he is debating whether or not he wants to retire.
This may explain why we may not see him or Swift for a while, or at least until March 14, the deadline the Chiefs have given him to decide if he plans to come back.

Kelce’s father, Ed, said that the pair were looking forward to spending quality time together after the season, so this is likely the reason why the couple hasn’t been spotted or active on social media.
“I think we get past the Super Bowl, I think it’s going to be a very good time for the two of them without the NFL season, without ‘The Eras Tour,’ just them alone really connecting more,” Ed said on Australia’s Today.”
“I think that can only be a good thing,” Ed continued, adding that Swift is “a joy to be around.”
Rumors of Breakup Seem to be Unfounded Speculation
While some think Kelce is just mulling retirement, other fans on social media think the pair may be breaking up. They point to signs such as Swift not sitting with Kelce’s family during the Super Bowl, not attending the Chiefs’ after-party, and not being seen recently on social media.
The fact that Swift skipped Danielle Haim’s birthday and didn’t post anything about Este Haim’s engagement has turned heads.
But that appears to be a lot of speculation, at least according to credible sources. The normally open couple has decided to shut the world out and take a break from the public eye.
A source tells PEOPLE that Swift and Kelce are taking a break following the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl 59. That same source told PEOPLE that the result was “upsetting for everyone.”
“Their lives have been a whirlwind since they first started dating,” the insider also told PEOPLE. “Things seem great between them, and they’re incredibly happy together.”
Kelce Heartbroken Over Swift Getting Booed at Super Bowl 59
As many know, Swift was booed at the Super Bowl, which shocked her and devastated Kelce.
“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him,” an insider told The Daily Mail.
“He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.”
And according to the New York Post, this same insider claimed that many Eagles fans feel that Swift is somewhat of a traitor, especially because she’s from Pennsylvania and grew up rooting for the Eagles.

But it didn’t stop there. President Donald Trump also took a dig at Swift on social media following the Super Bowl.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump tweeted. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
The New York Post reports that according to the insider, “Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there.
“After Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them. But he knows that even though this is not a happy ending to the season having her love gives him so much joy.”
All that said, Swift did have a lot of support in her corner, including from Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
During his interview on The Howard Stern Show, the Eagles RB said, “I don’t get why she was getting hate there. She’s just there supporting her significant other, and she’s made the game bigger.”
With the pair out of the spotlight for the foreseeable future, we’ll just have to wait to hear from Kelce on his decision to retire or keep playing. And perhaps along the way, we’ll hear from Swift as well.
