What Did the Eagles Post About Jason Kelce’s Workout?

The Philadelphia Eagles shared workout footage on Instagram showing Kelce training with strength coach Fernando Noriega. The team posted the video with a playful caption: “He’s still got it…kinda 🤣”

The workout started with ladder drills and sprinting sessions. Before beginning, Jason admitted, “I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a while.” After losing 30 pounds since retirement, he broke his practice speed record twice, hitting 19.64 mph and 19.72 mph. Coach Noriega noted, “Some of the guys probably playing now can’t hit that.”

The weight room presented a much more formidable challenge. Jason started with 135-pound squats to warm up before moving to 225 pounds. He explained that he would “routinely try to hit” 500 pounds during his playing days. “I just felt strong, whether or not it was doing anything for me,” he said.

This time, he attempted 455 pounds and joked, “I almost blew my back out on that one.” When the bar was loaded to 505 pounds, he couldn’t complete the lift and called it a “good try” before admitting, “I’m a little tired.”

Travis Kelce couldn’t resist jumping into the comments with some brotherly teasing. “The face during that last squat got me,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wrote on the Eagles’ Instagram post.

Jason himself admitted the experience was humbling. “I can’t tell you how embarrassed and ashamed I am that I got pinned by 505,” he commented on the post.

The workout continued with lateral pulldowns, incline dumbbell presses, and bicep curls. By the end, exhaustion was clear. “I’m so f***ing tired. I’m fading quick,” Jason said. When he asked Noriega how he’d stack up against current NFL players, the trainer diplomatically responded, “Let’s just keep it NFL Jason Kelce vs. now Jason Kelce.”

He later reflected on X, sharing his thoughts on the humbling experience.

“This was humbling… honestly, speed was still there, but getting pinned trying to squat 505, and my power numbers were way down.” He added, “I’m gonna blame us doing a full workout on the field first, and just know in my head that a fresh Jason Kelce can still hit that…”

Despite not hitting his old numbers, Jason proved he has impressive strength and endurance. The video showed his sense of humor throughout the challenging session.
