Donna recently shared a Facebook post that has a link to Kylie’s latest response to questions about Travis and Taylor. But after sharing the link to her appearance on the show, one of her fans, Polly Hook, asked Donna about the relationship and bond between Jason’s wife and the daughter-in-law-to-be, Swift.
A fan wrote in the comment section of Donna’s post, “Agreed with the above post, they both seem like such nice girls and nice families. Perfect compliment to you and yours.” And replying to that, the 73-year-old mom said, “My kids seem to befriend and love the very best of society… Lucky me.”
Donna also grabbed attention when she talked about what she noticed while watching The Traitors, mentioning that she may have spotted a few of Travis Kelce’s former partners. She joked that the people she would least want to see could be some of her sons’ rivals, whether that means players from opposing teams, certain coaches, or even past girlfriends.
The question by a fan landed under Donna’s Facebook post has a reason. During a January 30 appearance on the Today show, Kylie Kelce faced the question fans have been asking for months: Is a wedding happening this year? She didn’t reveal any dates or details, and made it clear she truly doesn’t know what the timeline looks like. And that made people worry about the relationship between the two future sister-in-laws.
Still, the host of the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Kylie, shared one clear takeaway. As she put it, “We’re so excited to celebrate. We can’t wait.”
Donna has known Kylie for the past few years. Jason and Kylie married in April 2018. But with due respect to Kylie and her charismatic nature, the NFL star’s mother also looks excited about Swift.
Considering how often Mama Kelce has been seen right next to the pop icon, supporting her younger son, it really isn’t shocking. After all, Donna is also the mother of former Eagles standout Jason Kelce, and she’s become a familiar face at Arrowhead Stadium.
Donna’s action reflects the same feeling her former husband Ed Kelce shared during an appearance on “The Jimmy & Nath Show,” when he said, “The family, both sides, kind of assumed this was going to happen because we’d never seen our kids so happy.”
