‘I Would Start a Petition’ — Jason and Travis Kelce React to Potential Aaron Donald-Myles Garrett Team-Up on Rams

How do Jason and Travis Kelce feel about the possibility of Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald joining forces on the Rams? Find out more.

A lot of the anticipation around the 2026 NFL season at this point stems from the potential pairing of new Los Angeles Rams EDGE Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald. Garrett’s blockbuster trade to LA made headlines, but the possibility of Donald coming out of retirement to join the reigning Defensive Player of the Year on the line is making even bigger headlines, and even rivals are now weighing in.

Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett Together on Rams ‘Shouldn’t Be Allowed’

Garrett is widely considered the best defensive player in the NFL, and while he has spent his career thus far with a losing team, the Cleveland Browns, he could very well win a Super Bowl in his first season with his new team. June 1 saw him head to the Rams in exchange for draft capital and Jared Verse — one of the biggest trades of the modern era — and the possibility of Donald returning to the Rams only adds to the excitement.

Donald’s possible return naturally drew reactions from rivals, including Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, both of whom expressed their concerns. The brothers humorously discussed the storyline on “New Heights.”

“They can’t do that, right?” Travis asked.

Jason, who faced Donald several times during his playing days, echoed the sentiment. “That’d be cheating. Roger (Goodell) would have to step in,” he said. “If I was still playing O-line in the league, I would start a petition. No. This isn’t allowed. What are we doing here?”

The brothers hilariously reacted to the news, questioning whether anyone could do anything against a Rams defense that has a combined five Defensive Player of the Year awards on the defensive line alone.

“I’m starting a GoFundMe. This isn’t allowed,” Travis said with a laugh. “I don’t know what we’re raising money for, but we’re going to put a halt to this.”

The Rams’ defense in its entirety is nothing to sneeze at, which Kelce also acknowledged. “The rest of the D-line aren’t a bunch of slouches,” Kelce said. “They’ve got some fu***ng ball players.”

With Donald in the middle and Garrett on the defensive end, Kobie Turner, who logged an 84.0 PFSN DT Impact score in 2025, returns to the fold, with 12-sack beast Byron Young coming off the edge.

That’s just their pass rush. In the secondary, McVay’s squad boasts four Super Bowl rings between cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, who’ll team up with safety Quentin Lake.

LA’s defense might very well be more exciting than the offense in 2026, and it remains to be seen who’ll survive the onslaught.
