Shedeur Sanders Jersey Sales Show Interesting Fact
Ari Meirov posted the 10 best-selling rookie jerseys so far on X, and Shedeur Sanders came in at No. 3 on the list.
The list highlights the popularity of some of these rookies already. While it doesn’t include the number of jerseys sold, it’s worth noting that two of the top three sellers played for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Looking at rookie jersey sales just days after the draft, one detail that stands out. Nine of the 10 players on the list were selected in the first round, which speaks volumes about the enthusiasm of fans for their team’s top picks. The only player not selected in the first round — or even on Day 2 — was Shedeur Sanders, who went 144th overall.
That shows how much attention Sanders brings to a team, and the Cleveland Browns are going to benefit from that. What’s also interesting is that the quarterback Cleveland drafted ahead of him in the third round, Dillon Gabriel, didn’t make the top 10 in jersey sales.
Whether it’s fans who watched him at Colorado or those who saw the prank call during Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft — when someone (later identified as Jax Ulbrich, the son of Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich) posed as Saints general manager Mickey Loomis and told Sanders he’d been picked ninth overall — people are drawn to him.
And why wouldn’t they be? Sanders is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, but he’s already created a legacy of his own in the football world.
At Colorado, where he set the FBS record for completion percentage and threw for over 7,300 yards, he helped turn the program around. After finishing 1-11 in 2022, Shedeur and Co. improved the team’s win total to four in 2023 and then to nine in 2024.
He didn’t do it alone, of course, but in a sport where the quarterback is the most critical position on the field, he certainly deserves some credit.
Even though there’s no sign he’ll be the Browns’ starting quarterback, fans are lining up to grab his jersey. This list illustrates the enthusiasm fans can have for a single pick and their eagerness to show support immediately.
