Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has shifted into the media world in his retirement from football. Making appearances across sports shows and podcasts, Brady has revealed more and more about himself and how he became the legendary player that we know today.
The most recent example of this comes from YouTuber/professional wrestler Logan Paul’s podcast, “Impaulsive” where Paul’s guest was none other than the three-time Super Bowl MVP. Brady shared some insight on how he reached the highest of levels.

“There Was A Part Of Me That Was A Psychopath”
Recounting a conversation he had with a friend, Brady shared what he thought separated him from everybody else on the football field.
“There was a part of me that was a psychopath out there…I was extremely hyper competitive everyday…if I didn’t do my best in practice, I wasn’t gonna play on the weekend…”
Hearing how Brady approached the game on a daily basis from such a young age isn’t surprising to hear. One of the most notorious facts about the future Hall of Famer isn’t one of his astounding records or achievements, it’s that he was pick No. 199 in the 2000 NFL draft. Not being regarded as a top prospect by anyone at the time, Brady understood that hard work was the only way to the top.
Expanding on his psychopathic approach, Brady shared why he felt that mindset had a positive impact on his teammates.
“I got to treat this game like it matters more than anything. Well, when my teammates feel that, guess who else has to raise the bar? My teammates.”
Lifting His Colleagues Too
Brady’s mentality obviously encouraged his teammates on each team he played for. Winning seven Super Bowls across nearly two decades, Brady elevated those who shared a locker room with him. With an entire team of players collectively wanting to get better each and every day, all while maintaining that for two decades, Brady’s spot as the winningest quarterback in NFL history was only inevitable.
Brady’s insight on his extreme approach to getting better is fascinating to listen to. Arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history, hearing how that legend came to be and how he approached the game to become so great is captivating. Brady’s knowledge of the game is so rare and hard to match, making it all the more intriguing when we get to hear from the all-time great.
Brady is looking to apply that same formula to his executive role with the Las Vegas Raiders, recently adding a Super Bowl champion to his front office.
