Tom Brady Reveals He Got So Many Gifts From Michael Jordan That He Almost Had To Rethink His Entire Setup

From one G.O.A.T. to another, NFL Hall of Famer Tom Brady shared the story of how NBA legend Michael Jordan filled his entire closet.

Tom Brady is widely considered the greatest quarterback ever to play football. He spent 23 seasons in the league, 20 with the New England Patriots and the last three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He won a record seven Super Bowls, was five times the Super Bowl MVP, three times the NFL Most Valuable Player, twice the NFL Offensive Player of the Year, and was the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2009.

After retiring at the end of the 2022 season, many expected that Brady would slow down a little, even enjoy a carb or two. However, if anything, he seems even busier. He has become an analyst for Fox Sports and a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Las Vegas Aces, and Birmingham City F.C.

While Brady endorses numerous companies and products, he has turned his love of sports card collecting into one of his latest ventures. He bought a 50% stake in “CardVault by Tom Brady,” a premier destination for buying, selling, trading, or having your cards graded. While his card collection is undoubtedly growing, Brady recently shared a story about his burgeoning shoe collection.

Tom Brady’s Tale About How Michael Jordan Made Him a Shoe Collector

Brady recently joined Joe La Puma at the “CardVault by Tom Brady” location, which is located at the American Dream Mall at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J. He was the guest on the first episode of “Card Shopping.”

He told La Puma that he always wanted a shoe collection. However, he always had shoe contracts when playing, which kept him from collecting.

Brady said that he has a friend who collects shoes, and he reached out to him to ask how he should get started in collecting and if his friend knew anyone who could hook him up. His friend asked him what size shoe he wore. Brady answered a 13, and the friend said he would get back to him, which eventually had Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan enter the picture.

“So he calls me like two hours later, he goes, ‘Hey, I’m on the course with MJ, and he’s a Size 13 too. He’s going to send you a few pairs.’ Within two days, I had 120 pairs of shoes show up. I didn’t have enough closet space, so I sent MJ back something nice — and just pretty cool to have Jordans, from Jordan, sitting in my closet,” explained Brady about how he built his shoe collection practically overnight.

The course Brady was referring to was at Grove XXIII. He said he is a member of the ultra-exclusive country club owned by Jordan. Located in Hobe Sound, Fla., the public is not allowed to play at Grove XXIII; the only way in is to be invited by Jordan himself.

While the member list is private, it reportedly reads like a who’s who of the sporting and entertainment world, so it makes sense that Brady would be a member.
