Tom Brady does not respect Logan Paul, and he didn’t try to hide it when the two finally shared the same stage. Their ongoing back-and-forth moved from social media to real life at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic draft in Beverly Hills, setting the tone for what’s coming later this month.
Tom Brady Calls WWE ‘Cute and Scripted’ in Shot at Logan Paul
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Brady compared football to Paul’s WWE-style competition. “All their stuff is so cute and scripted, and they know what’s going on,” Brady said.
He continued, “In a football game, you don’t know it, so they wouldn’t even get near me. Plus, if I had a good offensive line, they’d punch those guys right in the throat, and they’d be probably crying, and, you know, there’s no fake BS we do in American football, so for those guys, it’d be a whole different story for them.”
Brady and Paul were both on stage at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic draft alongside Kevin Hart, Druski, and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Their interaction followed weeks of online trash talk.
The event itself has turned into a major crossover moment. The tournament will feature three teams in a round-robin format on March 21 in Los Angeles.
Brady and Hurts will lead one roster that includes Stefon Diggs, DeVonta Smith, and Alvin Kamara. Another team is captained by Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels and includes Paul, IShowSpeed, Davante Adams, and Jalen Ramsey. A third team features the United States men’s national flag football team.

This tension between Paul and the NFL legend did not start this week. It traces back to a podcast appearance on Paul’s “ImPaulsive” show, where the two first debated athletic comparisons.
Paul positioned himself as someone who could compete with NFL talent in flag football. Brady pushed back immediately.
He acknowledged Paul’s athleticism but warned that NFL players operate on a different level. When Paul insisted he belonged in that group, Brady dismissed the comparison, calling WWE “cute,” and emphasized that football demands a different level of precision, speed, and reaction that entertainers are not accustomed to.

That setup has only increased attention on Paul. He has leaned into moments like this throughout his career. He previously offered $1 million to any NFL player willing to fight him, but that idea stalled due to WWE restrictions.
The two will share the field in Los Angeles. That gives Paul a chance to answer, but Brady has already said what he thinks.
