Tom Brady is almost universally referred to as the greatest football player of all time. He won seven Super Bowls over his 23-year career and has transitioned into both broadcasting and team ownership.
He recently appeared on the “Impaulsive” podcast, and the NFL GOAT was asked to weigh in on GOAT debates in other sports.
Tom Brady Decides Who the GOATs Are in Other Sports
Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft. He didn’t start a game for the New England Patriots until his second season when he filled in for an injured Drew Bledsoe. Brady never gave the job back. He led the Patriots to a Super Bowl 36 victory, and his soon-to-be Hall of Fame career was off and running.
Over his 20 years in New England, Brady won six Super Bowls, three MVPs, two Offensive Player of the Year awards, and was voted to the Pro Bowl 14 times. Brady’s best season in New England was 2007, despite not winning the Super Bowl.
He led the league in yards (4,806), touchdowns (50), completion percentage (68.9%), and passing yards per game (300.4). The addition of Randy Moss led New England to an 18-0 start before falling to the New York Giants in Super Bowl 42.
After those 20 years, Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 and played three more seasons before retiring. He led the team to a Super Bowl 55 victory and had arguably his best season ever the following year. In 2021, Brady threw for 5,316 yards (career high), 43 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He made the Pro Bowl for the last time and was named second-team All-Pro.
Brady is the GOAT of the football world, and he discussed other GOATs during his “Impaulsive” appearance. The show is hosted by internet personality and WWE wrestler Logan Paul and his good friend Mike Majlak.
Paul is developing into one of the greatest heel wrestlers of all time, and he wanted to discuss the GOATs from other sports. His co-host asked Brady a simple question: “Messi or Ronaldo?”

Brady replied, “Messi or Ronaldo? That’s hard. That’s hard. I’m not even gonna answer that question. I like them both too much.” Majlak then asked, “Jordan or LeBron?” To which Brady again responded, “I like them both too much.”
The co-host then asked, “F1 driver?” Brady’s response, “Lewis [Hamilton].”
Majlak asked, “Greatest ever WWE wrestler?” Brady thought about it and answered, “Hulk Hogan.”
Brady was asked, “Biggest partier in the NFL?” He laughingly responded, “Roberto Gronkowski. Yo soy Fiesta.”
Majlak finished, “Greatest golfer?” Brady quickly replied, “Tiger [Woods].” He didn’t answer all the questions, but Brady made definitive calls on a few of the GOAT debates.
Brady recognized his long-time teammate Rob Gronkowski as the biggest partier in the NFL. The Gronkowski cruise should prove that Brady is right. However, he side-stepped the most highly debated GOAT conversations in Messi or Ronaldo and Jordan or LeBron.
If one GOAT can’t make a call, maybe no one should.
