Tom Brady Gives Takes On Streamer IShowSpeed’s Ability To Compete in the NFL

Brady teamed up with YouTube superstar IShowSpeed. The streamer ran routes while Brady threw passes, showing off skills that had even the NFL legend impressed.

Speed isn’t a professional athlete, but he’s got the drive and raw athleticism to make people wonder if he could be. To prepare for some NFL-style challenges, he trained with All-Pro defensive back Sauce Gardner and two-time Super Bowl champ Danny Amendola.

The ultimate test? Going one-on-one against Brady himself and trying to intercept passes from the quarterback who redefined the game.

The results spoke for themselves. During a 40-yard dash, Speed clocked an unofficial 4.49 seconds in front of Brady and Amendola, leaving the football icon amazed.

When asked if Speed could make it in the NFL, Brady gave him a confident answer.

“Absolutely, you have the whole package,” he said. “Speed is there. Jumping, attitude, work ethic, all of it counts, man.”

Speed’s Connection to the NFL World and What He’s Done

The two first connected in August 2025 when Speed surprised Brady at his Miami home during a 35-day livestream event. Brady even gifted Speed a signed 2002 Cristiano Ronaldo rookie card, recognizing his love for the soccer star.

Fans got to see Speed’s athleticism live, including a vertical jump that left Brady impressed, and the collaboration quickly turned into a series highlighting Speed’s skills and competitive spirit.

Speed has also made waves in the NFL world outside of Brady’s training. He’s played in celebrity flag football games during Super Bowl week, competed in NFL Combine-style challenges, and created content with players like Lamar Jackson and Danny Amendola.

In August 2025, he even hosted an alternative broadcast for the NFL’s first-ever game in Brazil. Speed has also appeared in NFL commercials and YouTube campaigns with big creators like MrBeast.

So, could a YouTube streamer actually become an NFL player? Brady thinks so. When Speed asked, “Could I be an NFL pro?” Brady didn’t hesitate.

Whether Speed will ever make the leap from internet star to NFL player is still up in the air, but one thing is clear: he has the attention and endorsement of one of football’s greatest.
