Tom Brady’s $37.5M Salary Tops List of Highest-Paid Broadcasters, But the 2nd-Place NFL Legend Will Shock You

Tom Brady leads the world’s highest-paid broadcasters at $37.5M per year, but the surprising names tied for second place may shock NFL fans.

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, who won six titles with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has quickly become the face of FOX Sports’ NFL coverage. Brady was roped in even before his retirement on a massive 10-year, $375 million guaranteed deal, making him the highest-paid broadcaster in the world.

Brady’s annual salary of $37.5 million places him well ahead of the competition. However, the names, or rather, the names behind him on the list, may come as a surprise.

Who Ranks Behind Tom Brady on the Highest-Paid Broadcasters List?

While Brady sits alone at the top, second place is dominated not by sports analysts but by celebrity chefs. Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, and Gordon Ramsay each earn approximately $33 million per year, tying them for second place behind Brady.

Fieri became Food Network’s highest-paid star after signing a three-year, $100 million deal following the network’s merger with Warner Bros. Discovery. Since its debut in 2007, “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” has produced nearly 600 episodes, cementing Fieri’s status as one of television’s most recognizable personalities.

Flay’s long-term contract was later restructured to match Fieri’s salary. He currently hosts “Bobby’s Triple Threat,” while “Beat Bobby Flay” and “BBQ Brawl” remain in production.

Ramsay, meanwhile, has built a culinary empire at FOX, with hit shows including “Hell’s Kitchen”, “MasterChef”, and “Next Level Chef”. That portfolio earned him a top-of-the-market deal finalized earlier this year.

Just behind the chefs is comedian John Oliver, who earns around $30 million annually for Last Week Tonight on HBO. Television icon Judy Sheindlin also earns approximately $30 million per year through Amazon with her shows “Judy Justice and Tribunal Justice”, although she once topped $45 million annually at her peak.

Among sports broadcasters, former New York Giants star Michael Strahan earns approximately $26 million per year as a FOX NFL analyst and co-host of “Good Morning America.” NBA legend Charles Barkley follows close behind, several years into a 10-year, $210 million contract with Turner Sports.

ESPN personalities Stephen A. Smith and Pat McAfee also crack the list. Smith signed a five-year, $100 million deal earlier this year, while McAfee continues to grow his brand with

Veteran NFL voices Troy Aikman and Tony Romo also rank among the world’s highest-paid broadcasters. Aikman reportedly signed a five-year, $90 million deal to move from FOX to ESPN, while Romo remains with CBS on a 10-year, $180 million contract.

While many of these analysts and hosts bring decades of broadcasting experience, Brady stands apart. Despite being new to the booth, his legendary playing career, massive name recognition, and unmatched marketability have made him a ratings magnet, justifying FOX’s historic investment.
