The Indianapolis 500 is rapidly approaching as the event takes place on May 25, 2025, and sees some of the biggest names attend the annual event. One name that will be in attendance is the seven-time Super Bowl champion and FOX commentator Tom Brady, as he will be riding along Jimmie Johnson to lead the field to green.
Two of the best in their respective sports are going to be getting a lot of eyes on them before the biggest race in the season takes place. However, Brady seems to be a bit nervous ahead of the event.

Brady is far from the first superstar to get in the INDYCAR Fastest Seat in Sports passenger seat, as Alex Rodriguez, Diplo, Lady Gaga, Mark Wahlberg, and Jon Bon Jovi are some of the names who have also experienced it. Even Johnson is excited about being part of the program once again, as he said in the press release about joining Brady for the pre-race festivities.
“I love the Indy 500. There is an energy and excitement around the ‘500’ that is unlike anything I have experienced before. Certainly, pre-race ceremonies are the ultimate racing experience that I’ve had outside of the car. I’m thrilled to be a part of the program and to see the stands full one more time. I’m extremely honored to come back and do it and to be able to also share this experience with another seven-time champion.”
Johnson and Brady have multiple connections throughout their careers, as both were also named the Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year at one point in their careers. Two of the legends of their respective sports being together for the pre-race festivities is going to be something to see.
The coverage for the Indianapolis 500 begins at 10 am ET on FOX Deportes and the Fox Sports app. This is going to be something to keep an eye out for, as the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and the lead color analyst on FOX’s NFL broadcasts continues to be part of the public eye ahead of the 2025 NFL season.
