Thursday Night Football Schedule For 2025 NFL Season: Dates, Times, Matchups, and More

Thursday Night Football kicks off in Week 2 as 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders travel north to battle quarterback Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers.

After that, Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit will call several intriguing matchups, including ten games between division rivals. Check below for the complete Thursday Night Football schedule. You can find the NFL’s full printable schedule HERE.

2025 Thursday Night Football Schedule 

Week 1 (Sept. 4): Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles | 8:20 P.M. ET | NBC/Peacock

This is the lone Thursday contest that isn’t on Amazon Prime Video, as this is the NFL season opener on NBC and Peacock. The reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will host their division-rival Dallas Cowboys.

Week 2 (Sept. 11): Washington Commanders @ Green Bay Packers | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video kicks off with a quarterback duel between Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and Packers quarterback Jordan Love. 

Week 3 (Sept. 18): Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins travel to Highmark Stadium to take on division rival Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in a battle of the AFC East. Tagovailoa is 1-8 in his career against the Bills.

Week 4 (Sept. 25): Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

The Seattle Seahawks make their first prime-time appearance of the Sam Darnold era in an NFC West showdown against Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr., and the Arizona Cardinals.

Week 5 (Oct. 2): San Francisco 49ers @ Los Angeles Rams | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

For the second consecutive week, the NFC West takes center stage on Thursday Night Football when the rebuilt San Francisco 49ers travel to the City of Angels to take on Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams, and the Los Angeles Rams

Week 6 (Oct. 9): Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

Superstar running back Saquon Barkley returns to MetLife Stadium as the Eagles and New York Giants fight for NFC East supremacy. 

Week 7 (Oct. 16): Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

This could be Aaron Rodgers vs. Joe Burrow in an NFC North showdown. The future Hall of Fame quarterback has flirted with the Pittsburgh Steelers all offseason, but Rodgers has yet to decide on his playing future.

Week 8 (Oct. 23): Minnesota Vikings @ Los Angeles Chargers | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

After five consecutive intra-divisional matchups, Thursday Night Football hosts an anticipated matchup. Assuming a full return to health, this game is expected to feature Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy facing off against his former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Week 9 (Oct. 30): Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

The Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens play for the fourth time since 2021, this time in prime-time on Thursday Night Football. Lamar Jackson, a Boynton Beach native, grew up less than an hour away from Hard Rock Stadium.

Week 10 (Nov. 6): Las Vegas Raiders @ Denver Broncos | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

Geno Smith and the Las Vegas Raiders travel to Empower Field at Mile High to take on Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos in a matchup for AFC West bragging rights. 

Week 11 (Nov. 13): New York Jets @ New England Patriots | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

The AFC East takes center stage when Justin Fields and the New York Jets travel to nearby Foxboro to battle Drake Maye and the rebuilt New England Patriots.

Week 12 (Nov. 20): Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

Allen vs. C.J. Stroud sells itself. Throw in a handful of other talented players across both rosters, and this is one of the most intriguing matchups on the Thursday Night Football slate.

Week 13 (Black Friday, Nov. 28): Chicago Bears @ Philadelphia Eagles | 3:00 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

With Fox, CBS, and NBC getting the Thanksgiving slate, Amazon Prime Video has embraced Black Friday Football. This year, Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

Week 14 (Dec 4): Dallas Cowboys @ Detroit Lions | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

The Cowboys and Detroit Lions make their lone appearance on Thursday Night Football in Week 14. Lions head coach Dan Campbell played three seasons in Dallas during his playing career.

Week 15 (Dec. 11): Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers| 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

Michael Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons travel to Tampa Bay to take on Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a showdown that could have massive implications in the NFC South race.

Week 16 (Dec. 18): Los Angeles Chargers @ Seattle Seahawks | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

Harbaugh returns to the Pacific Northwest to lead his Chargers into battle against the new-look Seahawks. This will be Seattle’s second TNF game of the 2025 season.

Week 17 (Dec. 25): Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs | 8:15 P.M. ET | Amazon Prime Video

The Thursday Night Football slate ends with a Christmas Day game between AFC West rivals. The Broncos travel to historic Arrowhead Stadium to face Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
