Who Is Terrion Arnold? Height, Weight, Age, and More

The 2024 NFL Draft class is loaded with cornerback talent, including Terrion Arnold. Here are more details on the incoming prospect.

As the NFL becomes more of a passing league emphasizing outside threats and QBs that can make the big throw, the need for high-level cornerback play has never been more necessary.

Alabama’s Terrion Arnold has the makings of a true game-changer at the position, and ahead of him hearing his name called in this year’s NFL Draft, we discuss everything you need to know about the elite cornerback prospect.

    How Tall Is Terrion Arnold?

Height matters more now than ever when it comes to cornerbacks. As wide receivers become longer, more athletic, and dynamic, having a CB that can match that ability is key for NFL decision-makers.

Arnold’s height was measured at 6’0″ at the NFL Combine putting him in a good spot for the next level height-wise.

    How Much Does Arnold Weigh?

CBs are often one of the most athletic players on your roster, and with that typically comes lean individuals known for their running and jumping abilities. However, having a frame and stature that can stand up to the rigors of an NFL season will be crucial to a long and successful NFL career.

Arnold weighed in at the NFL Combine at 189 pounds, placing him a bit on the smaller side. However, he could add more mass once he gets into an NFL weight program.

    How Old Is Arnold?

Arnold is a young prospect who only spent three seasons in college before opting to forego his eligibility for the NFL Draft. He is currently only 21 years old and was born on March 22, 2003.

What School Did Arnold Go To?

Arnold spent three seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide under the tutelage of one of the most respected minds in college football, playing under Nick Saban before his retirement.

Before his time with Bama, Arnold grew up in Tallahassee, Fla., where he attended and played high school football at St. John Paull II Catholic High School.

    Revisiting Arnold’s College Career

Arnold redshirted his freshman season in 2021 before being selected to the FWAA Freshman All-American and Freshman All-SEC teams in 2022. Arnold played in 11 games with seven starts in his first year of action.

Following a stellar 2022 season, Arnold continued with more of the same in 2023. He finished the season by being named to the first-team Associated Press All-American team as well as first-team All-SEC.

Arnold also finished the season tied for sixth in the FBS with five INTs and tied for fifth with 17 passes defended in 14 games.

    Arnold’s Potential in the NFL

The former Alabama CB is expected to hear his name called early in the NFL Draft and has a high chance to be one of the 32 names called in Round 1.

According to Pro Football Network’s Ian Cummings, Arnold “grades out as a blue-chip prospect and a top-10 talent in the 2024 NFL Draft. He’s my personal CB1 in the 2024 NFL Draft class, and especially for man-heavy teams that value run support at CB, Arnold has immediate appeal and impact-starter upside.”

Cummings continues, “At just 21 years old, Arnold has a long prime ahead of him. And with a little more refinement, he can be a true impact starter who specializes in man but holds his own in zone. And he has the slot versatility and playmaking authority to be the central moving piece of a secondary.”

The young cornerback’s talent is evident, and while he best fits in a man scheme, Cummings and many around the league feel he is capable of being a plug-and-play type of piece in the back end of all 32 defenses across the league.
