Thursday Night Delivers, Social Media Reacts to Terrel Bernard’s Voice

For Buffalo, quarterback Josh Allen did what he always does, but the real star of the night was linebacker Terrel Bernard. With Miami threatening to tie the game late, Tua Tagovailoa fired a pass to Jaylen Waddle inside Buffalo territory.

Bernard jumped the route, picked it off, and essentially slammed the door shut on Miami’s comeback hopes. It was the kind of moment every defensive player dreams about: ice the game, celebrate with your teammates, and soak in the glory. But instead of only talking about his clutch interception, fans couldn’t get past something completely unexpected: Bernard’s voice.

During his postgame interview with Kaylee Hartung, the internet lit up with reactions saying Bernard sounded similar to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

And once you hear it, it’s hard to un-hear it.

“Terrel Bernard low-key sounds like Mahomes,” one fan tweeted.

“Close your eyes and Terrel Bernard sounds like Patrick Mahomes. ,” another wrote.

Others took it even further: “Watching the Terrel Bernard postgame interview and thought it was Pat Mahomes speaking. They both sound like Kermit.”

Terrel Bernard and Patrick Mahomes … voice twins? ,” one fan questioned, on the defender being called his “voice twin.”

It’s a funny twist, considering Buffalo’s biggest obstacle over the past few years has been, you guessed it, Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Buffalo Bills Move to 3-0, Miami Looking for Answers in 2025

Maybe that’s the kind of luck the Bills need to get over the Kansas City hump finally.
For Buffalo, the win is huge. They’re not only unbeaten, but they also jump to 2-0 in the AFC East, strengthening their early hold on the division. The Dolphins, meanwhile, look lost at 0-3 and face a growing list of problems that no joke about Mahomes’ voice can cover up.

Bernard may not have asked for the comparisons, but he’s certainly earned the spotlight. Between the interception that sealed the win and the internet crowning him Mahomes’ sound-alike, it was a night he won’t forget anytime soon. If his play keeps trending this way, fans won’t just be talking about his voice; they’ll be talking about him as one of the Bills’ rising stars.
